Last Dimsum.
I slept early yesterday just so I can wake up early today for our last dimsum with my grandpa before school starts. I was supposed to wake up at 9, but my alarm didn't go off because I accidentally set it as PM. Even though I had about 9 hours of sleep, I still feel fatigue. Now I'm still stuck at work and probably have to wait closing to leave. This sucks!

Volleyball Date.
I had a volleyball date with Kim and Edwin again today. It was a good way to get some exercise today. I kinda want school to start soon because the days are passing by very slow lately. When the days pass by slow, I just eat and eat. This is not good...

Surprise Visit.
My dad made a surprised visit this morning because he didn't come on Sunday. He totally forgot about Patchi's moving in day this coming Sunday. Good thing we reminded him today. We went out for lunch and coincidentally, we bumped in to Andy at the restaurant. For some odd reason, we always bump into him!

Hope.
What a hectic day! I had to work today for a few hours, and it was a mess. Everything was very disorganized and orders came in at the wrong time. I had to end up doing some packing, which was usually my brother's job so I wasn't too familiar. Not to mention the driver slept in today and came late for work.
I saw this article/picture on face book about a father's love to her daughter with cerebral palsy. He ran over 70 races including half marathons and triathlons. Rick van Beek, that father, once said that his daughter loves being in the outdoors and that she is his heart and he is her legs. The whole story was very inspirational and emotional. Looks like there's really hope in the world.

Phos!
Today was a very easy day. We went to Pho's for lunch and did some shopping for my brother for university. After dropping my mom at work, we went back home to have some dinner before heading out again for bubble tea. During bubble tea, I had to go to Ray's house to pick up my lab coat before he leaves to the states. A couple of my other friends joined us at bubble tea as we were about to leave. it's been a while since we hung out, so it was nice seeing them again.

Late Night Gaming.
Today was work day for both my brother and I. I decided to bring the iPad instead of my macbook because there's no room to use my computer when my brother is there. It was pretty convenient and it didn't consume a lot of battery either. It was busy at times at work today, which was good I guess. When I got back, my brother and I decided to play some Super Smash Bros Brawl before we go to bed. Usually, I would say 'no' because it was pretty late, but I agreed because it's summer and we need to have some fun before we go back to school.

No Show Again.
Two of my students didn't show up for their piano lesson again. Their mother totally forgot to tell me that they couldn't make it today. Overall, today was pretty boring. Not to mention I ate the same thing for lunch and dinner. I doubt that tomorrow is going to be any better.

Indoor Beach Volleyball. (August 24, 2012)
Volleyball tonight again! I went to North Beach Volleyball to play some indoor each volleyball. Thank god that the people there aren't too pro. I'm surprised that I'm not that bad too (other than overhand hits). I probably did a month worth of exercise tonight. Must go there again!

Volleyball Part 1!
It's been a while since I played volleyball. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be sore tomorrow. What sucks is that I have another volleyball date tomorrow night. Hopefully I'll be better by then, but if not, I guess I'm popping some advils before I leave. After volleyball, I went to bubble tea at Go4tea with some friends.

A Day of Waiting.
Despite of a late night yesterday, I woke up relatively early. I noticed that the internet was out, so I just read a book and chilled for the rest of the morning. When my brother woke up, I made some lunch for both of us. After lunch, we set up the Wii so we can play Super Smash Brothers Brawl. When everything was set up and ready to go, we realized that our wiimotes are out of battery. In the end, we waited for a few hours for the rechargeable batteries to recharge. While waiting for the batteries to recharge, I opened the new iPad that my mom got form my cousin (cause the internet was back up and running). Unlike the other apple products, this one was out of battery, so I have to charge it up in order to do anything to it. So basically, it was all waiting from there on.
When the batteries were done recharging, we played a good couple of hours. Then I decided to check on the iPad and set it up so we can use it. I realized that the iPad was from Hong Kong (the adaptor is an Hong Kong outlet), so I used one of our macbooks extra adaptor. I was going to use my iPhone usb adaptor, but my research told me that it'll charge twice as slow as the adaptor that came with the iPad. In the end, everything worked out, so it's all good!

Timothy Green.
Today was a good day. Went to the movies with my brother and watched 'The Odd Life of Timothy Green'. It was just as good as the trailer! We shopped around and bought an air pump for my volleyball. Then we went to EB games to get Brawl for the wii because there's nothing to do at home.
My mom called me and gave us a pleasant surprise. Apparently, my cousin bought an 64gb iPad for my mom. She's too rich...

KBBQ Dinner. (August 20, 2012)
I keep on forgetting to blog before 12! Now I have to do catch up blogs. Today, I went to KBBQ dinner with some people from Waterloo and with Nathan and them. A couple of my friends from Waterloo actually drove all the way from Waterloo to Toronto just to see Nathan. We had a great time and hopefully we will visit Nathan in Alberta next time.

Return of X Factor UK.
The X Factor UK is back and the first episode was aired yesterday. There wasn't a whole lot of auditions, but it was a good premiere. Mel B, aka Scary Spice from Spice Girls, was being really mean and direct to the contestants. Her bluntness was pretty dry and funny. Can't wait for the rest of the series!
Alcohol Allergy? (August 18, 2012)
Only two of my students came for a piano lessons today. Two of them probably forgot to notify me that they couldn't make it this week. I went to my cousin's family party tonight, though I didn't really want to go. I ended up playing the dice drinking game (kinda like cheat) because I've been turning my cousin down for a drink. It's been a while that I drank, and I don't think I took it too well. I might have some alcohol allergy or intolerance. I guess I have to build up my tolerance again...

Easy Day.
When we arrived to my aunt's house, my nephew was taking his nap already. I spent most of the time on the computer. When my nephew woke up, he wasn't hyper like before, thank god! I played a bit with him and then his mother called to go for dinner.

Chasing in Playground.
Babysit today was terrible. My nephew did not listen to anyone or whatsoever. We went to the park and boy, he was going crazy. We were literally chasing him around the playground and make sure he doesn't climb and go on the dangerous ones. Good thing he went to take his nap after lunch. Since I woke up pretty early today, I took a short nap myself. Then I turned on my laptop and watched an episode of White Collar and played some pokemon platinum.

Babysitting.
I babysat for a few hours today, and boy it was tiring. Thank god my nephew went to take a nap in the afternoon because I don't think I'll have that much energy to deal with him for the whole day. Tomorrow I have to go with my grandpa to babysit again, except this time I have to go earlier. I think it would've been better if I woke up a bit later because early mornings and hyperactive kids does not make a great combination. Tomorrow's gonna be a long day...
Channel Surfing. (August 14, 2012)
Day passed by so slow when there's nothing to do. I started to do some channel surfing and landed on Spike TV, where they have a marathon of a show called America's Worst Tenants. I don't care if it's fake or not, it was entertaining. I ended up going to bed early today because i got assigned to babysit tomorrow and have to leave very early in the morning. Sucks...

License Renewal.
I woke up at 8:30am this morning so I can go to Service Canada to renew my drivers license. I was finally able to use the August metro pass that my mom's friend found. When I got to the center, there was a huge line up. Good thing all the booths were opened, so the line moved pretty fast. I filled out a form because I didn't get a renewal post card, but apparently I didn't even need one. I was surprised how easy it was to renew the license.
My dad was late to pick us up to go to my aunt's house for dinner. Even though dinner was at like 9:30pm, the food he made was really good. Too bad he's not in the food business now, because he's a really talented cook.

Closing Ceremony.
The olympics are finally over, though the closing ceremony wasn't too spectacular. The highlight of the ceremony was definitely the performance of Spice Girls. Victoria Beckham is always so hot. I'm actually excited for the winter games in Sochi, Russia, as there's more cultural traditions in Russia. Bye bye olympics, and see you in 2 years!

Choked.
The Olympics is coming to an end, and I must admit, the Canadians totally choked in most parts. There are some surprises here and there, but overall, most of the favourites did not medal, which was disappointing. Oh well, I guess it's not meant to be...

Super Active Nephew.
I swear my nephew has ADHD. He's way too active and doesn't stop when we tell him to. He continues to go crazy and run around the house. Looking after and babysitting him is tiring, and by dinner time, I already wanted to go home and sleep. When I got back home, Kim texted me to go out to McDee's for some coffee and catch up.

Bugged Internet.
I finally have a day to relax. Watched some olympics and catch up on my shows. The internet was being stupid for the whole day. There was something wrong with rogers because the internet kept going on and off. I called the technical support and arranged an appointment for someone to come over and check it over. soon after the phone call, the internet started to work again. This always happens and now I have to cancel the appointment. Since the appointment is scheduled Sunday morning, I could technically cancel it tomorrow. This gives the internet some time to settle and prove that it's fixed.

Expensive Pizza.
Unpacking is one of the worst part after a trip, especially when you're absolutely tired from the jam-packed days from before. my family woke up and started unpacking right away so we can get it over with. Since the apartment was unattended for a few days, we did some cleaning around the house. Our aunt called us to take up out for dinner. We went to this small restaurant up north, called Hanson's restaurant. They serve chinese and italian food, which was a REALLY weird mix. Their food was okay, but too expensive in my opinion. Also, the service wasn't that great either...
San Francisco 2012 (August 4-7, 2012)
August 4
I ended up getting less than 5 hours of sleep, waking up at 4:30am to get ready to leave. It was a rough morning at the airport because we were so close to the deadline for check-in. Once I was on the plane, I passed out for two hours. I was surprised at the film selections that they have on the plane as some of them were pretty recent. Once we landed in San Francisco, it was all family affair and met up with two different group of families (for lunch and then for dinner).
August 5
Today was the 'party' day, but before it comes the shopping trip. The mall we went to was equivalent to Vaughan Mills here. We didn't as much stuff as we think we would, but got a few pairs of shoes. After shopping, we head home to get ready for the party. When we arrived to the restaurant, my grandpa put my brother and I at the entrance to locate the seating for people. The problem was that our comprehension of Chinese was limited (especially when the characters were in simplified). The rest of the night was awkward because my brother and I were placed into a random table as a results of a dispute of two families. Thank god that time flew because I really didn't want to be there.
August 6
Our second shopping trip was to San Jose (I totally forgot the mall's name. It's West-something). Today's trip was mainly looking for formal wear stuff. We went to Macy's to look at suits, and boy there was a huge selection. We ended up getting 3 sets of suits, where I can fit nicely into all 3 of them, and my brother can only fit into 2 of them nicely. After the suit shopping, we were pretty much exhausted.
August 7
Originally, we had a stacked schedule in the morning before we leave San Francisco in the afternoon. Things started to crumble when my uncle couldn't board on his flight to San Francisco form Hong Kong, and went to Japan instead. We were supposed to visit our other aunt in San Francisco, but decided to cancel on that because we were going to meet up again in Toronto later in on this month. We had out last lunch in San Francisco, and went to the airport for our flight.

Packed Up and Ready To Go.
All packed up to go to San Francisco! I have to wake up at 4:30am tomorrow, so that means I'll probably get less than 6 hours of sleep. Oh well. San Francisco, here I come! (I will update/catch up with the daily blogging when I'm back on Wednesday.

Swollen Eye.
I woke up early this morning and I did not feel too great. I noticed that my left eye was slight swollen (not too bad though), which may be the cause of lack of sleep or allergic reaction. I spent most of the day 'trying' to study for my last exam, but I gave up in the end because I was so tired. Apparently, I didn't look too good today...

Reduced Game Plan.
I woke up at 6:30am this morning to cram some more on mythology. The exam was actually really easy, as I finished it in less than 30 minutes. Due to the regulations of the exams in the university, I have to remain in the test area for at least an hour. I was right about the exam because it was either hit or miss (and thankfully, majority of them were hits). After the exam, I treated myself with some olympics and began a little bit on accounting. At first, I didn't know where to start studying and I was too tired to make a game plan for this tomorrow night exam.
I did some calculations and the lowest I can get with a 0% on the final exam (which is impossible) is a 60% overall. That means that by showing up to the exam, I have already pass the course. Of course, the higher the mark, the better. I would be satisfied if I finish with a 80%. Anything higher than 85% would be a plus. Since I don't have to do exceptionally well on this final, I think I'm going to lessen my work load and just focus on the written portion of the exam. After all, if I hit around 50% on the exam, I can get myself a high 70's or 80 overall. More importantly, I need to get some sleep or else I'll get sick AGAIN.
