I decided to work on my accounting assignment today and it was the worst! The questions were so confusing! When I looked at the solutions, I would have never got it on my own. I ended up getting 2 wrong on my second attempt, so I left it because I don't want to go through another round of punching numbers into the calculator.
I was watching the Canadian Track and Field trials (mainly the 100m hurdles for women). The hurdle race was intense as there were two false started. Two of Canada's best medalling hopes failed to make it into the top three, thus, not going to the olympics. The eventual winner was a heptathalete. She was in tears because she felt guilty in taking a coveted spot for the olympics. She considered forfeiting her spot in the 100m hurdles, but her coach persuade her to do both events. Nontheless, it was a really exciting race to watch!

Hermes' Trick.
My mark for mythology came out this afternoon. I ended up with a 92, which is not bad at all! I realized that my mark or the first midterm revert back to my original mark without the bell curve. I decided to email to my prof to see what's wrong. Apparently, there was something wrong with the system and changed everyone's mark back to the old ones. He creatively posted an announcing on Learn and and blamed Hermes for his trickery. Corny prof rules!

Smelly Greyhound Bus.
Econ is getting really hard right now and it's taking me forever to wrap my mind around it. Today's lecture was pretty bad because I kept on zoning out. My mind was basically in 'relax' mode after my mythology midterm.
The greyhound bus that I was taking smelled like urine. It was really nasty at first because the air condition wasn't on, hence, no air circulation. Once the driver started the bus and turned on the air condition, the smell started to fade.

Drained.
I didn't so too bad on my econ midterm! I ended up with an 85.45%, which was above my expectations. I decided to take today off and do nothing after my accounting class (mainly because I didn't have a good night sleep and I didn't want to start on my accounting assignment). I did some researching on Master programs for nursing. There are definitely a lot more programs in the States than in Canada. The ones in the States are more specialized as well. There are not a lot of selections in Canada in terms of specializations, though it'll be a lot cheaper than studying in the States. I think I'm thinking too ahead of the game right now. I should focus on getting my BScN first and decide later for my Masters. One goal at a time, right?

Last Midterm.
Wow, I almost forgot to blog today because I was so chilled out from finishing my last midterm! The mythology midterm was pretty easy. I was worried that it'll be hard since last term's midterm was easy. I'm glad that that's out of the way. Now I just need to focus on getting though accounting assignments done on time and perhaps start studying for my finals.
My brother got his final marks today and he totally killed most of his exams. His top-6 average remained the same as his may deadline average, which was pretty good considering everyone's average drops after exams. Somehow, he managed to get a 97 and 95 on religion and english exam respectively (two of the most subjective courses). What makes me sad is that he beat me in biology as well, and I'm supposed to be the 'biology-major' (well, ex bio major now). He definitely got the bragging rights right now...

Lucky Brother.
Today wasn't eventful as I spent most of the time traveling back to Waterloo. I went to my bank this morning to start a new Tax-free savings account. Since I have extra money, I might as well earn some interest (also to prevent me from spending a lot of money). Our family had dim sum at the plaza since my grandpa didn't have a Mahjong date. When we got back, Patchi received a nice surprise from Waterloo. At first, we thought that the mail was about the Student 101 event in July or August (or it could've been a rejection letter, you never know!). When Patchi first opened it, he was relieved because it started out as "I am happy...". But as he read on, he realized that he received an accounting scholarship for $5k! I didn't believe him so I took his letter and read it. It was true! He just received a major University of Waterloo scholarship! My mom and my grandpa were in shocked because his marks weren't stellar. We went online to check out what kind of scholarship it was and what were the requirements. Apparently, only two people from the 3 accounting programs (AFM, Math/CA, Biotech/CA) and computing financial management program are eligible for this scholarship. Man, he is the luckiest person I've ever known!
Now that I'm back at Waterloo, things are depressing again. I have to resume to studying for my mythology midterm tomorrow. I read through everything already, but I feel like I can still crams one more minor details in, just incase.

Morning Stroll.
Last night, my mom told me that toddy's morning stroll is cancelled because it was going to rain. This morning, my mom woke me up and said that it was sunny and made both my brother and I go to the park and take a walk. The air was nice and I did some speed walking around the park (I decided not to jog because it will be bad if I do vigorous exercise out of the blue).
Today was a nice day to get some quality studying done. I managed to skim through all the material for my mythology midterm on Tuesday. Now, I just have to see if my brain can retain all those information.

Late Night Snack.
So it seems like when I'm bored and have nothing to do, I tend to forget to blog. Well, I do have things to do like studying for my midterm for mythology.
I spent the majority of the day working on my accounting assignment. I understood the concepts and knew how to do all the questions, but the online assignment was really stupid. There were some rounding errors here and there, so I didn't know which number to use. I ended spending around 4 hours to complete the assignment, which was way too long. I didn't get as far as I wanted or mythology either. I think I'm pretty much screwed.
Around 9:30 at night, I was craving for any food, specifically chicken balls and chicken wings. Since I have to pick up my mom from work anyways, I asked her if she can bring some food home for us to eat. I know it's probably bad for me (as in I'm gonna get fat) but its okay once in a while, right?

Guelph Bus Sucks.
The econ midterm was pretty difficult. Some of them were pretty tricky and played with my head. The longer I thought about it, the more screwed I was because I knew I'll start to over think it. Hopefully the outcome won't be too bad.
I was happy that I finished early and managed to catch the 6:30 bus back to Toronto. Apparently, that bus was a Guelph detour bus, which took an extra hour for the bus to reach Toronto. I wasn't too happy about it, but hey, what can I do about it?
When I got back to toronto, we went to KBBQ for dinner. I haven't ate so much for a while now, not to mention KBBQ. I was supposed to work on my accounting assignment tonight, but KBBQ was too tempting. Looks like I'll be cramming those myths for the next 3 days for my mythology midterm...

Weather Has Mood Swings Too.
Because of the midterm tomorrow, I couldn't return to Toronto today. I'm supposed to be chilling in Toronto right now, but no, I'm stuck in Waterloo studying econ.
The weather was great this morning and early afternoon. Around 4:30pm, the sky started to darken and I knew the thunderstorm that was supposed to come yesterday finally arrived. It started to pour when Katie and I were walking to the restaurant for dinner. Since Georgie went back to Toronto today, I decided to have a dinner date with Ryan and Katie. We went eat some Taiwanese food, which wasn't too bad I must admit. It's been a while that I've ate with Katie and Ryan in Waterloo, and it was pretty fun.
I think I'm going to sleep early tonight because there's nothing much to study for econ and I want tomorrow to come earlier. I have to wake up relatively early because I have to go to my accounting tutorial to pick up my midterm. It'll be my first time going to tutorial, and I think I'm just gonna pick up my exam and leave.

Miracle!
Since I didn't have classes in the morning, Georgie and I decided to go to Bomber's for the $2.99 breakfast. It wasn't as good as Country Boy's breakfast, but it was still decent. The portion was obviously smaller, but I was quite full after finishing it. I think it was because it was still pretty early when we ate.
Studying econ had been extremely borrow. I did the sample midterm and it was quite difficult. I am really not looking forward in writing this midterm, but I want to get over it asap because I'm tired of studying stuff that I believe I know already. The trickiest about this course was the application questions. I'm just so used to using the 'recognition' technique for science, that doing all these application questions kinda throws me off. Anyways, I should get back on studying...
P.S. MY SMELLY ROOMMATE ACTUALLY SHOWERED TODAY (I THINK)! IT'S A MIRACLE!!!!!

I Hate M3.
Tuesdays are never fun because I have a 3 hour lecture in M3. I absolutely hate the lecture hall because they always blast the air conditioner. According to my econ prof, the air conditioner is set based on the temperature outside. Since today is relatively hot, the lecture hall is pretty much a freezer.
Study econ had been difficult. I got tired too easily throughout the day. Not to mention that the material was 'easy' to read. I have a feeling that I still won't be able to answer the questions even if I feel like I know all the material already. There were a couple of equations to remember as well. Fun...

Upset Stomach.
I woke up today with an upset stomach, but I still went to eat some Korean BBQ for lunch. I was surprised that I still had the appetite to eat. Either way, it was a good lunch and thankfully my stomach didn't react up again.
The bus ride back to Waterloo was great, e.i. no smelly people beside me or people lending over me. When I got back to my suite, the first thing that came into my mind was the BO that was lingering last week. Thank god it was gone, because I don't think I can deal with it for another well. My assumption is that it'll get bad again near the end of the week.
I'm starting to get a bit tired right now, but it's still pretty early. I need to do some major studying tonight, so hopefully I'll keep up.

Pokemon Tower Defence.
I was supposed to study a bit of econ today, but I ended up playing Pokemon Defence Tower all day long. That game was addicting. Must stop playing and start studying econ! God, I have no life...

Slow Day.
What an uneventful day! I taught piano in the mornings and the afternoons, like usual. Then, I went to work, thinking that it'll be pretty busy at the shop. I left the shop around 8:30 because business was going slow. Apparently, once I left, the orders started coming in. Looks like I'm the unlucky one around!

Impossible Accounting Exam.
The accounting midterm was extremely long. 31 M/C, 2 income statements, 1 balance sheet, 1 cash flow and 3 sets of journalling. All of this in 1.5 hours? Barely finished. I pretty much skimmed through the multiple choices, hoping that I didn't miss all the important points. I completed my last income statement in less than 5 minutes. It was crazy. I forgot that the last 3 multiple choices were a bonus and totally missed it. I ended up filling in 3 random bubbles, which pissed me off because I know I could've got them!
After the exam, I rushed to the bus station, hoping to catch the 6:30 bus (my exam ended at 6:00). I got to the bus station around 6:24, but there was a line up to buy the ticket. Luckily, I got my ticket before 6:30 and managed to catch the bus back to Toronto. My mom decided to have our father's day dinner early with my grandfather, which was good since I didn't have a proper dinner last night.

Smelly Monster Strikes Again. (June 14)
It was not fun studying accounting. Sometimes, I was spot-on on some questions, but other times, I tend to forget to include something. I really don't know how the AFM kids do this. It's so stressful.
I was so stressed that I started eating my bag of chips. I eventually finished about half of the bag (yuck). Not to mention that I didn't have a proper dinner (ice cream).
When I came back home from the library, I noticed that there was this strong, dense smell. It was so strong that I gagged and almost puked. It was my roommate. The smelly, dirty monster. Maybe it was because today was hot or something, so his BO was especially strong. Thank god the smell didn't protrude into my room, though the smell was starting to go through my vent. It was so bad that my Glade only lasted for half an hour. What did I do to deserve this kinda of treatment???

Chilly Day.
The sun was very deceiving this morning. I thought it would be pretty warm, but I was SO wrong. I went out in my shorts, t-shirt, and flops. The first time was horrible as the wind blew pass me. It wasn't too bad when I was under the sun though, which was good. I spend an hour or so at Conestoga Mall to hand in my OSAP forms and look for Chris' birthday gift. The gift took me less time than I thought it would take. Efficiency. I had a craving for tacos, so I went to the Taco Bell to get the 5 tacos and a drink deal. Surprisingly, 5 tacos was REALLY filling!
I went straight back to the library after going to the mall. At first, I went to DC to look for a spot. Of course, it was full. DC is ALWAYS full. Even though my next class was in DC, I decided to go to DP to study because I knew I can always find a spot there. I continued with my accounting problems, and surprisingly they didn't take too long. I don't know if I should be happy or not. I still feel i'm not ready and prepared. There's just too much room for errors in accounting.

Frozen In Lecture Halls.
University of Waterloo should turn down the air condition and save some money! Some lecture halls are way too cold! I had to sit through a 3-hour lecture in a room that felt like below 15 degrees. After the first an hour and a half, I started to develop a slight migraine. Not exactly the best 3 hours of the day.
Something funny (well, I thought it was funny) happened during the mythology lecture (yes, the 3-hour lecture). My prof started explaining why he chose the word 'derivatives' just incase people didn't understand what he was trying to explain on his slides. In the end, he said, "I guess no one uses derivative as part of their everyday language. Anyone in here uses it in their regular speech?" After he ask that question, I saw all these random people raising up their hands. Those are probably the mathies, which, at that time, was pretty amusing to me.
Dinner was interesting today as Georgie tried her new recipe. She kinda over cooked the broccoli and all the 'flower' part started to fall off. In the end, the broccolis ended up looking like a miniature tree that's losing it's leaves in fall/winter. It was pretty hilarious! On the bright side, the broccoli tasted good.

Bus Schedule Fail.
It was 12:50 when I got to the the Greyhound bus station. It was weird that there was no one lining up for the Kitchener bus. I pulled out my bus schedule and scanned over the departure times. I came across to 12:30pm, and right under it, it said 2:00pm. At first, I was okay with it, but few seconds later, it hit me. I was basically wasting over an hour waiting for the next bus to come. Never ever will I leave at 11:30 from my apartment again!

Procrastination Is My Liability.
I found out that I didn't have to find go to work today. Obviously, I didn't use my time wisely and procrastinated in studying accounting. Half of me felt like I am ready, but the truth is, I'm not. I spent my time eating, reading books, playing "Safe and Sound" by Taylor Swift ft The Civil War on the ukulele and more loafing. My mom decided that I should leave earlier tomorrow (a bit before lunch) so I can get some studying done in Waterloo, which is definitely a good idea.
To be honest, I really don't know how to study for accounting. I'm confident for the short answers (well most of the time and I know I can get most of the marks). The multiple choices will be a killer because everything is fair play. As I am reviewing the notes, barely anything is going into my head. I really don't know how to study for this course anymore...

My Life Is Boring.
Saturdays are always the least eventful day. I spent my day teaching piano and working at the shop. Again, I didn't do a lot of studying. At least I don't have to work tomorrow.

Red Lobster Heaven.
Before I went to bed last night, my nose started to get runny and stuffy. I came to the conclusion that I'm catching a cold, not an infection. I guess it was a good thing because all I need to do is to pop some advils. I was lazy this morning, so I didn't do a lot of accounting. I managed to complete my assignment because it was relatively short. It was an unproductive day before work.
After work, I went to UTSC to copy some solutions for accounting questions. Then, I went to Red Lobsters with Stephanie because there was a great deal. We ordered so much food that we didn't really touch our main course. There's my lunch tomorrow!

Weird Body Response.
Since I didn't have to meet up with someone back in Toronto, I decided to join Aaron and Tammy for brunch. As always, brunch was filling and amazing. After brunch, I took the bus back to Toronto. I slept through the whole ride because I didn't feel too good. For some odd reason, my body was burning up from time to time and I had a slight headache. I think I might have some sort of infection. Hopefully it's not too serious.

Rain and More Rain.
Today started out great as it was sunny in the morning, even though the forecast said there would be a thunderstorm. I went to Grab-a-Greek to get some greek salad and chicken souvlaki. The salad was surprisingly filling. While I was eating the salad in the library, the sunshine coming from my window suddenly disappeared. I looked out and saw this enormous grey cloud in the sky. Within the matter of minutes, rain started pouring. Thankfully, the rain stopped when I had to walk to my class.
My accounting class was a short one tonight, but my prof ended the lecture at the perfect time. During the lecture, the storm came back, pouring so hard that you can hear the pounding in the lecture all. After the lecture, the grey cloud moved on and there was sunshine again! Today was definitely a good day because i avoided getting totally drenched twice!

Burnt Bread.
I didn't end studying a lot for my Mythology midterm today, but the exam was alright overall. There were a lot of easy questions, but there were also a few "WTF" questions. I just hope that I did okay because I spent a lot of hours reading all the required chapters...
Tonight, my friend Georgie tried out her new dish and, like always, used me as a guinea pig. She made carbonara spaghetti and garlic bread. I was kind of in charged of the garlic bread and made sure that it doesn't burn. I turned around for 1-2 minutes (literally) and it turned black. ON the bright side, it wasn't totally burnt. With a little scraping, it was still edible. The carbonara spaghetti was not bad at all! Even though it wasn't salty enough, it still had the rich creamy flavour. All in all, tonight's dinner was definitely NOT a failure.

Time Wasted.
I was actually excited for the Mythology review session because the prof made it sound like he was going to review the readings with us. I was disappointed that it was just a Q&A session. So, I basically came back to Waterloo and woke up early for no reason. On the bright side, I finally finished the required readings for this midterm!
My exam schedule came out today as well. When I realized that all my exams were on the first week (e.g. all before August 5), I pumped my fist in the air. That means if I was to go to San Francisco for my grand-aunt's 95th birthday party, I won't have to rush back to do an exam! This summer is gonna be AWESOME!

A Close Call.
I was already in bed, reading away on my mythology textbook, and then I remembered something that I haven't done today - BLOG! That was a close one!
I decided to go back to Waterloo today instead of tomorrow because of the extra review session for mythology. Thinking that I'm pretty much screwed, I should get as much info as possible. I could technically bus back tomorrow morning, but I really don't want to go on the tic during rush hour with all my luggage (not to mention that it's gonna rain tomorrow as well). Plus, my dad could give me a ride to the bus station so I don't have to use a token!
I didn't get a lot of reading done as I like today. There were two reasons: 1) Miss USA, 2) Boring topic. Miss USA was alway exciting as every, though my streaming was buffering too much during the interview segment. In the end, Rhode Island won, who was definitely one of my favourites. She also had the hardest question of the top 5, which was about the whole transgender competing in a pageant issue. It was pretty funny because she was shocked herself, because she knew she was going to get hated no matter what answer she gave. I was surprised that she didn't jump on the bandwagon along with most other "beauties queens" (who are against it obviously). I really thought she wasn't going to win because it was such a controversal topic. In the end, she gave a really good answer and she totally deserved to with the title.
Anyways, I should get back on my readings before I fall asleep. I still have around 3 more chapters to skim through so I think I'll be able to cover all the materials before the midterm. The only question is: will I be able to retain the materials?

Not So Good Day For Driving.
Saturdays are always as long as ever. Teaching piano can be sometimes stressful, especially when your students forgets to bring their books. I went straight to work after teaching piano. I was pretty out of it while driving (a very bad idea) and had a minor car accident. Thankfully, no one was hurt and no cars were damaged (when I said minor, it was really minor. I was stopping at a red light and didn't noticed that my car was still rolling slowing. I kinda bumped the car in front of me and luckily there wasn't and scratches or dents. I kept apologizing to the people and they said that it was okay since no damage was done. Phew!
When I got to work, it wasn't as busy as yesterday. Hence, my mom let me go early. Coincidentally, Chris, Charlene, Katie, and Eliz asked me if I wanted to join them for dinner. Since I got let go early, I decided to drop by and made a quick visit. We ended up having hot pot, which was REALLY filling. I dropped Eliz back home since it was close to the shop, as I had to pick up my mom from work.
I'm back home now and there's a lot of stuff that I have to do tonight. I need to finish pages of address entries for my mom and read some more for mythology. Looks like tonight would be a long night...

Too Much to Read.
Every school morning when I was back in Toronto, my brother never failed in waking me up before he leaves for school. He talked like everyone is awake, run around the house without even thinking that there were people still sleeping in the apartment. Not to mention his annoying nose (he blowed so hard that it sounded like a blow-horn). After that, I always had a difficult time falling back to sleep.
Thank god I decided to finish my assignment and notes yesterday because I found out that I have a shit load of readings to do for mythology. I totally did not expect the volume of readings as we only missed 2 lectures. Now I need to read around 9 chapters, and it doesn't guarantee that I'll do well either. The next few days is gonna be a bitch, I can tell already.
