Exams are finally over! Some of them were okay, some of them were just awful. I'm just glad that they're over. Hopefully, I'll be on the dean's list again.
The next day after my last exam, I chilled with Ryan, Tammy, and Aaron. We had brunch at Country Boy (it was actually my first time going to that restaurant this term!). We had a good time talking about everything (mainly on movies LOL).
I spent the last 3 days before christmas eve chilling with my friends. After the 24th, I'm going to be swamped with entertaining my family friend. Can't wait this break to be over!

Exams.
It's been a while since I updated this blog. Exam season started and I'm cramming for them right now. I don't have a lot of exams this term, but all my hard courses are near the end. This is bad because I usually study better for the first few ones.
I just had my CS 100 exam, which went pretty well. I'm glad that I got CS out of the way because it was a very tedious course.

Last Lab.
I completed my last lab of the term, and probably the last lab in my BSc. It's nice to know that I'm almost at the end of this long road.
One of my group member was being quite annoying today. He was demanding for the powerpoint that I made and was very impatient about it. It was a big file and of course it takes time to email it. I felt like my effort was not appreciated. I did way more stuff that he did. I wish the peer evaluation was anonymous so I can dock some marks off him...

Jack Frost.
I actually finished most of my CS assignment tonight. I just have to enter the answers and submit my quizzes. I decided to go watch a "Rise of the Guardians" with Kim because I haven't watched a movie since forever and the trailer looked so good. The movie didn't disappoint me! It was funny and action-packed! It was basically a kid version of The Avengers! I really hope that my some sort of sequel because this is a kick ass movie!

Waterloo Covered in Snow?
The meeting today was pretty short (only half an hour!). This was good news for me because I could leave right away back to Toronto. One of my group member derpped and read the wrong article. Good thing we found out earlier or else it'll be a mess during the presentation.
The weather today was a mess. It was okay in the morning, and progressively got worse. When I was waiting for the Greyhound, it was very windy and chilly. Since my meeting ended early, I was waiting outside for at least half an hour. Thank god I didn't get sick from the cold. Just a while ago, I heard form my friend that Waterloo is covered with snow. This is crazy!

A Day To Relax.
I realized that I keep on skipping days to blog, so I'm giving up in trying fix the blog so that I 'blogged' everyday. I'll still try to remember to blog every day, but if I miss a day, I'm not gonna bother with it.
Today's presentation was great, though the questions asked were kinda iffy. I didn't get a lot of sleep last night, so it was a pain to sit through classes today. After my music class, which was my last class of the day, I get to chill for a bit and attended to Tiff's birthday gathering. It was nice to finally relax and play some board games and stuff.

Lazy Weekend.
This has been one of my laziest weekend. I didn't do anything productive (though I did come up with some questions for my presentations and 'attempted' to memorize some lines). I should really get started on my presentations because I know I'll be really nervous and might screw up in front of everyone. Practice makes perfect!

Headache.
For some reason, I always develop a headache whenever I go back to Toronto. The person who was sitting beside me wasn't helping much by nudging me whenever I fall asleep. The TTC ride back wasn't too great either. I missed my stop on the RT because the people in front of me were walking too slow. In the end, I wasn't too pissed off because it was their first time taking the RT. They were kinda panicking too. I reassured them that the train will go back.
Disappointment. (November 15, 2012)
I didn't do too well on my music quiz. Hopefully my prof wouldn't take that into account when he's writing my reference.
We had a meeting for my Animal Physiology presentation and it was jokes. We finished some last minute filming and basically just presented what we have so far. This presentation is coming along nicely.

Failure.
I didn't do a lot today other than studying and working on my project. Maybe I was working too hard because I'm pooped.
I continued with my application at UT and finally reached to the personal statement. I pretty much stumped because I don't know what to put for most of those questions. Makes me feel like a failure in life.

Academic Reference.
Of course, I was the only one that's early for the meeting - everyone else was a bit late. Good thing we all agreed to the same idea (my idea actually). The meeting lasted for about an hour, which was good because I had a midterm right after. The histology midterm wasn't too bad. I finally got my academic reference from my music prof. It was kinda scary at first to talk to him, but he was really nice about it. I'm glad that I can continue on with my application.

Rain and Wind.
Today's weather was so crappy. It was raining and windy. Not to mention that I am started to feel sick again...
Sunday, November 11, 2012
Ridiculous.
I managed to finish my whole paper today, though the content is pretty crappy. I spent the past hour trying to set a date for a meeting with my group members for BIOL 350. They're being extremely difficult and I'm actually to the point where I offered to skip classes just to meet up with them. This is ridiculous.
Menchies (November 10, 2012)
I spent the whole day studying today and I managed to go through all my histology notes once. I don't have a good feeling about this midterm because there's a lot more material to remember.
At night time, I decided to go to Menchies with Steph L for dessert. It was only my second time visiting menchies, though I think it's still kinda overrated and over priced.

Call-Off.
I decided to call off the meeting that was supposed to happen today because not everyone could make it for the meeting. It was kinda a good thing because my mom needed extra help at the shop. I got back to Scarborough around 5:00. Business was pretty busy today so it was good that I got back in time for the rush hour. After picking up Patchi form Mccowan station, we went out to eat some japanese food.

Productive Day.
Today was actually a pretty short day because my music class got cancelled. I originally wanted to stay at school to work on my map assignment, but I didn't feel like going to the library. So I went for lunch with Harry and David x2 and chilled at Harry's place until my meeting tonight. I got most of my assignment done, so now I can finally study for my midterm next wee.

Grad Photos.
I woke up early today so I can get ready for my grad photos and meet up with Ryan at the library to work on the map assignment. We finally got most of the assignment down and all we need to do is to get all the calculations done.
The photo session was weird because I was not used to getting my pictures taken. Overall, it went well and hopefully the photo will turn out good.

Wasted Day.
My cold didn't get worse today, thank god. I made myself take a nap just incase I'm over working myself again. I tried to finish my CS assignment, but only got around half of it done. I feel like I wasted my day today.
On the side note, Obama won the election. Yay!

Irritating Throat.
Waking up this morning sucked. When I felt like my throat was irritating me, I knew I was getting sick. I was tired and sore from all the running and sweeping yesterday. I was hoping that it's just a phase where I over worked myself, but I crossed out that theory when I gave in in the afternoon and took a nap. It was the best idea ever because I felt a lot better after the nap.
I have a lot of assignments and readings to do for next week. The map assignment is giving me so much trouble at this moment. Makes me feel stupid. Looks like I have to bother the TA more than once.

Tired Legs.
Today was bay far one of the most hectic days. I woke up early so I can pack to go back to Waterloo. my dad was late as usual, so I had to cut short on his 2 daughter's lessons. Patchi and I went to Kim and Viv's place to help them moved their TV to the basement. The TV was super heavy and it took us a while to get it downstairs. It also destroyed the wall.
Curling at Tam sucked. I had to work with this really mean coach. Like, he thinks he's all that and he's blunt able a lot of stuff. Either way, I ended up getting to play, though I sucked because I didn't warm up or anything.
I had to rush to downtown to catch a greyhound bus. I reached Dundas station around 4:25pm, so I ran through the Atrium and hope that I can make it for the 4:30pm bus. I was pretty lucky as I got the LAST seat on that bus, although it pretty much tired my legs out.
Curling at Waterloo was bad. Our whole team did not play as well as before and we were all tired. Basically, we got murked, but oh well, it was still fun!

Bad Weekend. (November 3rd, 2012)
This was the probably unluckiest weekend of mine. First, my dad had to bail on driving us back to Waterloo because he had a little accident at home and hurt his tail bone. I had to buy a more expensive greyhound ticket to go back tomorrow. What sucks is that my brother can't buy the 'cheaper' ticket because he didn't have a credit card. Good thing I was able to arrange him to hitch a ride with Harry on Monday morning.
After teaching piano, I thought I would be free until my haircut. My mom suddenly called me to go work at the shop for an emergency because one of the drivers couldn't make it to work. It was really busy at that time and I got scolded from one of the customers over some stupid matter. I ended up staying at the shop longer and missed my haircut appointment. Thankfully, Kim's mom was free when I was able to leave the shop. After getting my haircut, we went for bubble tea at Gofortea and had a nice chat.

Broken Bus.
I thought I was lucky today since the bus left early from Waterloo. Turns out that the bus had some sort of leakage and we had to wait for another bus to come. Thankfully, there wasn't much traffic today so we got back to Toronto in a reasonable time.
I've been really lucky with school lately. I felt like I didn't do well in some of my midterms, but ended up being not as bad as I thought. For some odd reason, I feel like I'm missing something. Maybe it's because I feel like I don't deserve some of those marks that I got. Hopefully, I'll be satisfied by the end of this term.

Today was a day for me to relax and chill. Dinner at Morty's and the mahjong with Vivi, Steph and Tiffy.

Halloween.
The hardest day of this week is finally over! The midterm was mediocre, not too bad but definitely not the greatest. I tried to cram right after my midterm for my lab quiz, but ended up just skimming everything and gave up. I don't like studying everything just a few hours before the test. I just get frustrated and fail to memorize anything.
Since it's Halloween today, some people dressed up. I only saw a few people dressing up, but it's nice to see some spirit throughout the campus. I've heard that people dressed up as pokemon, pokemon trainers, transformers, Psy, Darth Vadar, Terry Fox, dinosaurs etc etc. I wish I stayed on campus mroe and noticed the people around me, but I had to cram for my midterm and quiz.

Need Food.
I just want this week to be over with. I've been studying for my ecology midterm for ages now and I don't think I've absorbed any material. I'm not looking forward for tomorrow as I have to cram a lab quiz right after my midterm. Not to mention I'm studying with an empty stomach. I seriously need to load up some junk for for this term...
Hurricane Sandy. (October 29, 2012)
I didn't have to go to school today, but my group still wanted to meet up today to talk about our presentation. It wasn't a long meeting though, thank god. I got home before the wind started to pick up.
I guess I did a lot of studying tonight, but I'm still not ready for the midterm because there's just too many animals and plants to know. All I want to do is to get over with this midterm and move on!

Lots of Rain.
Wow, I'm actually pretty tired today. I didn't do much at Tam because I just helped out with some skill challenges. The ride back wasn't as long as I thought it would take. Curling at Waterloo was pretty good, as we totally dominated the other team. Classes are cancelled tomorrow, so I don't even know if I'm gonna go out, but I need to find lunch. The rain tomorrow is not helping either. Plus, I might have a meeting... I guess I'll see how I feel tomorrow.

Nightmare of BIOL 370.
The day started out bad as I woke up from a nightmare about my BIOL 370 mark (Apparently I failed in my dreams). I have a feeling that it might be a reality soon. Then, the CS 100 wiki server was down for a couple of hours. That postponed my schedule in completing my assignment and then start studying for my midterm next week.
Day 2 of figure skating was full of surprises. A young Canadian girl surprise the field and won the competition, while Patrick Chan derpped and finished second. My favourite ice dancers, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir redeemed themselves after a shaky short dance. I'm always so amazed with their lifts!
I finally got the chance to start studying for my BIOL 350. I'm not feeling great about this midterm as there are tons of names and characteristics of animals to remember (including some scientific names!) Time to start cranking those gears in my brain!

Yawning All Day.
I kinda slept in today because I slept pretty late yesterday, helping Steph with her music composition. I did some CS 100 before watching figure skating and my TV shows. CS 100 proved to be very tedious again. It's good that i'm learning all these new skills, but the assignments are just long, boring and pointless.
Figure skating was pretty exciting because Canada is doing pretty well. It's nice to see that there's an upcoming star for women's singles (unlike the so-called 'veteran' that keeps choking in competition). Too bad I won't be able to watch some of it tomorrow as I have to teach piano. Hopefully there will be some replays online..

Bail-outs. (October 25, 2012)
One of my group members decided to bail out on the meeting today. I was actually ready to get all the brainstorming done and get things over with. This is not a good sign for this project.
The Greyhound bus took a long stop at Cambridge, which postponed the arrival time. I was going to get a bit at McDonalds on the way back home, but I didn't have enough time. I ended up getting back home around 8:40, so I had to drop off my stuff and leave right away to go practice curling at Tam. Good thing that I wasn't too hungry.

Real Food.
Today was a long day. Time passed by so slowly today. I ended up getting some pasta at SCH for lunch, but it wasn't that great. Then I shopped at the Waterloo clearance sale and got myself a pair of sweats. I got a large, thinking that I could where it at home only, but it appears that I could JUST fit into it (it's still loose). The lab was short (thank god!) and I get to go home to shower and eat lunch with Harry and Agatha. Can't wait to to go back to Toronto tomorrow!

Rain.
Rain, rain, rain. I hate rain. My shoes are pretty old, so it doesn't take rain very well. Wet sock? Yes, very uncomfortable. The music midterm was pretty easy, so that was good. I've been living off soup for lunch for the past 2 lunches, so I am determine to get some real food tomorrow.

Back on the Ice.
Finally back on the ice for some good curling. I was afraid that I'll have some sort of bad flashback because of the fall. At first, I was a bit uncomfortable, but I quickly gain confidence when I took my first slide. Overall, I played okay and it was a great that our team bonded well.
I wish I could say the same with my BIOL 350 group. Hen I came back from curling, I have this long ass chain of email to go through. It was pretty difficult to follow along. To me, there seems to be a possible conflict in interests. What bugs me is that I wasn't able to have any say in it because I didn't have access to email. Now I have to go hunt down people tomorrow and hope that I'll get everyone to be on the same page.

No More Stitches.
I got my stitches out today. My doctor was being really aggressive during the removal of the stitches, so it was pretty uncomfortable. The wound bled a little bit, but nothing too major. Hopefully, the wound will heal up fast enough before my grad photos.
Friday, October 19, 2012
Long Drive.
The drive back to Waterloo wasn't too bad, but the tutorial was totally not worth it. All I basically did was just getting the assignment and breeze through the tutorial exercises. The drive back to Toronto was ridiculously long. There were traffics and accidents everywhere. Then my mom had an emergency and asked me to bring her some veggies for the shop. Originally, I was supposed to bring my brother to Kim's for a haircut tomorrow, but apparently I got the dates wrong. I guess I didn't read properly that Kim changed it to tonight. Either way, good thing I found out early enough.

Healing Wound.
My wound is started to hurt a little bit after 3 days since the incident. I think that means that it's starting to heal. I'm starting to get sick of the baby food I'm eating. I can't wait until my jaw gets better so I can eat some real food, but that's not until 2 weeks later. I need to find smaller bandage because the ones I have are too big.
Wednesday, October 17, 2012
Nothing Broken.
I went to the doctors today to see if I need an x-ray and see how my wound is doing. He said that I was doing well and I don't need an x-ray. He also said that it'll take up to 2 weeks for my jaw to fully recover from the impact. I spent the remaining of the day playing pokemon. =D

Starvation.
I managed to get a temporary section change for my lab and completed my quiz before I left Waterloo. Best part of the day was my dinner. Marble Slab milkshake with white bread. MMM.

Sore Jaw.
My jaw was too stiff today to even eat a tea biscuit. Hence, the only thing I ate for lunch was half of a tea biscuit and a cup of tea from Timmy's. My prof for animal physic emailed me this morning saying that I can do a 85% final. I decided to just tank through the midterm instead (which I failed miserably). At dinner time, my jaw is a lot looser, though there was one part of my jaw that feels weird (something to do with my nerves?). I really hope I didn't fracture my jaw bone.

Stitches.
So today wasn't exactly my luckiest day. Curling was bad because there weren't enough teams to play. Then, I tripped on the hack and fell chin-first on the ice. I didn't think it was THAT bad until I saw this big gash on my chin. I thought to myself "yup, stitches for sure!" The funny thing was that I was laughing my way through. It was my first time getting 'hurt' and going into the ER and boy, the wait was long. I ended up waiting for about 3 hours before a doctor came to get my stitches done. Good thing Vivi was there to keep me company. I ended up getting around 7 stitches. What's weird is that my jaw hurts more than the wound right now (probably because the doctor froze my chin). I'm worried that my jaw is gonna be weird for the rest of my life. I have a midterm tomorrow, and I totally wasted a lot of time. I don't even know if I'm up to writing the midterm through pain. I have to decide what my options are.

I Hate Animal Physiology.
Studying for animal physiology midterm is so boring. I don't think I'll do well on the midterm because the material are so boring. Non of it is really going into my head. Not to mention I have other things to worry about, like the group meeting tomorrow. I didn't start reading my article yet and it's around 16 pages long. I need to somehow skim it and pretend that I know what's going on my 5pm tomorrow, while study for my animal physiology exam...
Steak, Yum. (October 12, 2012)
I just realized that there's steak at SCH every friday. Looks like I'll be going to SCH for lunch every Friday to get some protein into my system. The greyhound ride back to Toronto was pretty quick. We got back home pretty late though since we took a later bus. I just realized how little time I'm spending in Toronto and how tiring all this traveling is. I'm thinking of not coming back home that often, but there's also teaching piano. To be honest, I didn't want to teach piano in the first place, so basically I got pressured into doing it. Now it's really biting my ass back.
Thursday, October 11, 2012
Free Soup.
I was going to do a lot of CS today, but I ended up going out for free pork bone soup. It wasn't as good as the ones in Toronto, but it was free regardless! I was late to my music class, but apparently it was kinda one of those "extra" lectures that we don't really need to know. I guess it good for me because I didn't miss any exam materials.
Wednesday, October 10, 2012
Chilling.
My week is basically over. I finished my music assignment today and it took earlier less time than I expected. After class, I basically chilled until hot pot started. Since I kinda slacked today, I'll have to work hard tomorrow. After all, I have another midterm for next monday, which is the course that I'm most worried about.
Tuesday, October 9, 2012
Midterms...
One midterm down, and a billion mores to go! The histology midterm wasn't TOO bad, but I messed up on a couple of answers because I was just stupid. I tried to cram for my music quiz, but ended up just skimming it and gave up after awhile. There were some questions where I had to guess, but it's all good! Now I just need to get myself to start on my essay...

Thanksgiving Dinner Part 2.
I skimmed through my music material because I spent most of the time studying histology. I entertained my grandparents and aunt by playing mahjong with them. We had our second thanksgiving dinner, which was a lot better than yesterday night. Now I'm just waiting for my ride to go back to Waterloo. I don't even know if I'm gonna sleep early tonight...

Thanksgiving Dinner Round 1.
I studied for the majority for the day until I had to teach piano. I think I got most of the stuff down, though I'm pretty sure there would be a lot of curve balls on the exam. The Thanksgiving dinner was alright - wasn't too spectacular. Time to go back to studying because I'll have to entertain my grandparents and my aunt for the entire day tomorrow.

Sleepless.
I didn't sleep well last night again, despite of sleeping in a good environment. I only had one student coming in today so I had some time to study (one cancelled last minute). Steph came over for a crash course on intervals. After giving her a crash course, I passed out for an hour or so until dinner time. My mom called and asked me if I want to go out for sushi with her and Patchi. At first, I wasn't going to because I already ate dinner at home, but I decided to go anyways just to chill. In the end, i ate just as much as them. Yeah, I'm pretty much a fatass now...

Better Than Expected.
Today was actually better than I thought! The tree test went pretty good, though there were some trees where I had no clue what they were. The wait for the greyhound wasn't too bad, though I probably budded some people. Since we got back earlier than expected, we met up with Kim and went to Eatons to try out some glasses to see what kind of glasses to order online. After we had a quick snack (more like dinner for me) and went back home. I should be studying right now, but I'm so pooped!

Stress Mode On!
The stress is on! I have so much to do over the weekend. The tree test tomorrow is gonna be hell. I don't have enough sleep either. This is bad, very bad...
Wednesday, October 3, 2012
Smooth Day.
I was pretty productive today! I finished my CS assignment earlier than I thought. I did some tree studying and actually went out to look at some trees. The lab tonight was short again, which was excellent. I also finished writing my personal statement for Ryerson! Now I'm trying to study for histology, which is the only thing that's not progressing smoothly. Oh well.

Crappy Internet.
I just realized how much work I need to do for next week. Not to mention that it's thanksgiving weekend. I already have lots of plans made and I don't think I'll get much studying done. That means I have to work harder before the weekend comes. This shitty internet at home is not helping at all!

Healthcare Club.
I pretty much worked my ass off today. Did some cs and caught up with my readings in music. I tried studying for my tree quiz this Friday, but it was really hard to remember all if the tree names and its attributes.
I joined a healthcare club because Charlene told me to check it out since her friend is the president of that club. There is a conference at Queens, but I don't think I'll be attending because its on a weekend before my presentation is due. I think it's pretty irresponsible to leaves group hanging so I guess it's not meant to be.

Happy Moon Festival.
Moon festival today! I basically ate the same thing for lunch and dinner, but that's okay! The food was great! I didn't really want to eat any moon cake because it's so fattening and sweet, but I ended up taking a piece just for the spirit.
I did some work in CS today, but didn't get too far because it took more energy out of me. Some questions were just too vague that I over think everything. I was planning to do some readings when I'm back in Waterloo tonight, but I don't think I'll be back until 11:30 or so. I'll see if I actually feel like a good student and study.

Apples to Apples.
It was Kim's birthday dinner tonight, and also Kim's new friend's birthday. It was the first time meeting him, and he was pretty cool (just because he's a science kid). After dinner, Miranda and I went to Kim's house to chill and play some mahjong and Apples to Apples. Miranda and her beginner's luck kicked every one of our asses in both games. It was a fun night! =D

Improvements.
My brother skipped his first university class today! Although, it was just an useless accounting tutorial, but it was still his first! What's funnier was that he skipped to have lunch with me at SCH. The steak was too tempting for my brother I guess.
Volleyball today was a lot better, though in the beginning it was pretty intense. More 'less-skilled' players came, which was good. There are some people who are quite bossy though. I think I'm actually getting better. Go me!

Awkward Meeting.
Today in Animal Physiology, we had our first group meeting. Non of us really read the article so there's nothing much to talk about. All we did was exchanging our contact information and talked about our availability. It was kinda awkward because every group was kinda chatting and our group was just sitting there doing nothing. Too bad that I sat on the edge, so the only person I could really talk to was Ryan. I was going to mingle with my fellow group members, but that didn't happen.
Volleyball today sucked. Well, it didn't suck, but I sucked. Some of these people were really good. I guess the team that I played with wasn't as encouraging as the other teams. Hopefully it'll be better for tomorrow!

Easy Lab.
For some odd reason, today flew by pretty quickly. Ecology class was quite entertaining, and most importantly, I got my readings done for world music. The lab was also very short. I'm kinda running out of things to do (though there are somethings that I want to procrastinate, like my university applications).
On a bright side, I finally got my inquiries about changing my CHEM140L into CHEM140. The dude from the undergrad office asked me to submit a petition. I got my letter written and proofread today and planning to submit it tomorrow. Hopefully, I get the results that I wanted, or else next term will be a very miserable term.

Nap and Readings.
Mondays have always been my productive days. I did some studying at the library before my class started. During class, I didn't feel well and really wanted to go to sleep. It was weird because I had adequate amount of sleep last night. When I got back home, I decided to take a nap. I didn't feel too great after waking up, so I decided to take some medication just incase it was a cold. I began doing some readings for my world music course. It started out great, but got boring near the middle. Ultimately, I finished teaching the first intro chunk of the readings. I hope I'm not getting the cold...
Unexpected Encounters. (September 23, 2012)
My mom suggested to go to Dimsum for lunch today. When we got tot he restaurant, we bumped into 2 sets of friends. It was such a coincidence because we weren't planning to bump into anyone there.
Since we were leaving Toronto at night time, I decided to do some CS during the afternoon. I thought it wouldn't take a long time, but I had trouble with some functions. It took me a while to finally get how to do it. My uncle came later than expected because of the business at the shop. I ended up getting back in Waterloo around 12:30.

Hot Pot!
Today turned out to be a pretty eventful day. I went to Kim's house after teaching piano to help her dye her hair. It was pretty fun to apply the foam onto her hair. The foam dye didn't work as well as it did on my hair, but it changed her hair to one colour instead of two. So in the end, it wasn't too bad. After, we went out for hot pot with San. Boy, I haven't see that girl for so long. We ate and ate and ate until we could barely breathe any more. My brother literally ate like half of the ocean's shrimps tonight. After dinner, San suggested to go to bubble tea, which I thought it was outrageous because we're REALLY full. In the end, it wasn't too bad as it was just liquid and desserts. Overall, tonight was full of laughters and fun.

Long Commute.
This is why I hate fall term. The line up for greyhound is ridiculous. It took me around 5 hours to get back to Scarborough. That's 2 hours more than usual. I am not a happy camper!

Drop-In Volleyball.
Today was my first time going to a drop-in game for volleyball. Everyone there was so good and intimidating. There are some that are average, which is good because I don't feel as bad. I think this is gonna be a good club to spend time on.
When I got to my brother's place after volleyball, my mom told me that one of my cousins form San Francisco drowned in New York. I was in shocked because I was chatting with her just over a month ago. I bet her family is devastated. She was a good person - respects people, especially her elderly relatives. It was something that not all kids can do nowadays. May she rest in peace.

Earplugs.
I decided to use some earplugs last night, and it worked wonders! I was able to sleep until 9am straight, and fall back asleep until 10am. For some odd reason, I was still tired. I visited my brother because I have to drop off my lab coat and get my textbook. Then, I stayed at SLC for 2 hours or so until my night lab. The lab was long and boring, though some people left really early (they clearly didn't look at all the slides). I was going to get burger king for dinner, but the line was too long and I didn't really feel hungry anyways.

Laggy Term?
I ended up falling asleep around 3 or 3:30am this morning. Thus, I probably only slept for around 5 hours, which was below my average amount. As expected, I was sore from curling, except this time it was my legs. Classes surprisingly flew by today, even World Music! I wanted to take a nap after classes, but I ended up doing something else and totally forgot about taking a nap. I guess it's not a bad thing since I'll be tired very soon. I can't believe that it's only Tuesday, and I still have to do a lab tomorrow night. Why is this term dragging on so long?

Muscle Soreness.
I've been in pain for this whole day because of the curling session yesterday. I tried everything to ease my soreness, from putting ointments, to drinking coffee (I'm so out of shape). The coffee and rub only worked for a little while. In the end, I managed to get my hands on some of my expired Advil that I lent to Georgie. I didn't know if they will work, but it's worth a try. Fortunately, it worked really well and I was able to move easier. Tonight's curling session wasn't too bad as it was 5vs5. I didn't do too much sweeping, which was good. I know that I wasn't going to make it to the team, but I'm just there to have fun. It's definitely more fun if the players are more closer.

Singing To Myself.
After lunch with the family, I had to drive back to Waterloo because my dad refuses to drive both ways. At first, I was falling asleep as usual, so I had to think of something that will keep me awake. It was proven that the radio does not work previously, so I skipped that right away. Then, I started singing to myself (as my dad was sleeping and my brother was dozing off every 5 minute). I was surprised that it worked and I made it all the way to Waterloo without and life threatening scares!
Today was the first day of tryouts for curling, and boy I'm out of shape. I played mediocre tonight, probably not up to par with the competitive team. I couldn't judge the weights for beans. I'm probably not even considered for the team, but whatever, I'm just there to have fun. I just don't want to make a fool of myself. I hope that I won't be too sore tomorrow (luck wasn't with me because I was put into a team of 3, therefore, doing all the sweeping alone)

I Didn't Turn Blond!
Teaching piano today was short for some reason. Maybe because I was looking forward in dying my hair today. After teaching piano, I went to Kim's place to get my hair done. I didn't have much confidence on the store bought DIY hair dye, but it ended up turning out great! The brown colour that I got was satisfactory. My mom decided to get off work relatively early, so we went out for some Japanese food. When we got back, my mom, out of the blues, suggested to play mahjong. It was a random impulse, but we didn't play mahjong as a family for a while. It was nice to finally have some family time.

Indoor Shoes.
I brought my grandparents to dimsum for lunch because I had to stop by the mall to get some shoes for volleyball. I remembered that my grandpa wanted a new pair of running shoes as well. We ended up finding a pair that we liked (of course I paid for it). Work was very busy and apparently it has been this busy ever since school started. I hope my mom has some plans in the future because there are only that much that Patchi and I could help out

First Week Done.
First week of school finally done. I must say, I am not looking forward for this term. This whole week was pretty shitty. After class today, I rushed to take a bus back to toronto so I can pick up my grandma from the airport. It took my grandma over an hour to come out because she couldn't fine one of her luggage. In the end, we got back pretty quick.

Info Session.
Wednesday is another short day for me. Since it's still the first week, I didn't really have much to do. I chilled at the library and downloaded some shows to watch. I went to a varsity curling meeting, which was just an informal info session. I really don't think I have a chance to make it into the team, but it gives me extra ice time to play! It'll be fun playing against some good players.

Bad Day.
Today was a bad day. I didn't get enough sleep last night. Therefore, my whole body wasn't operating that well. Classes were boring and not appealing. I tried to take a nap when I got home, but it felt like I didn't when I woke up. I'm not liking this term at all...
Aunty's Cafe (Monday, September 10, 2012)
My brother was complaining how I start my classes when he's done all of his for the day. I met up with him because I forgot to bring a couple of stuff for him yesterday. Then, I went to Aunty's Cafe for lunch with Harry. I've never been to that restaurant before, but they had some great indian food! Class was boring as usual, though ecosystem ecology sounds quite a bit like botany at the moment. When I was looking at course outlines, I found out that I have 2 presentations to do this term. I am not looking forward to it.
Forgotten. (Sunday, September 9, 2012)
Tomorrow is first day of classes. It's time to get back on the greyhound. The bus ride back was actually great since there's not a lot of people. I managed to catch the 3:30 bus right when I got dropped off at the station. When I got to Kitchener, there was a bus waiting for me. It was a good day for me (bus wise). I carried my brother's book all the way to V1, which was around 15-20 minutes walk. Those textbooks were quite heavy and that's not all of it either!

Training Newbie.
Saturday's are always the worst because I have to teach piano. I thought all of my students will come today, but the last one ended up cancelling because of an emergency. Thus, I went to work early. I had to train the new girls who will be working when Patrick and I are at school. It was really busy tonight so I stayed until 11. Good thing that I didn't have a lot of things to back.

Nap Time.
I had a reasonable amount of sleep last night, yet I still took a nap in the afternoon. I passed out on my couch (mainly because there was nothing to do) and woke up just in time to go to work. The shop was busy around 5 and 6, but slowed down after. My mom and I then went to get some dinner before heading back home.
Thursday, September 6, 2012
First Time to BP.
I went to Boston Pizza for the first time today for lunch. The food there was alright, but the pizza kinda resembles Pizza Hut. After lunch, we chilled a bit at Miranda's place. Then we went to Markville to do some shopping for upcoming birthdays. Now, I'm just waiting for the right time to leave the house again to pick my mom up.
Wednesday, September 5, 2012
Cheap Sushi!
My mom and I finally found a good sushi place that's not all you can eat, with a reasonable price! Then we went to Pacific mall to look around, but we didn't stay there for long. In the evening, I went for my haircut at Kim's place. New haircut for new school term.
Tuesday, September 4, 2012
Paranorman.
I went to STC early with Kim so we can walk around before the movie starts. The mall changed a lot and some of the stores closed down. I haven't been to that mall for a long time so maybe that's why. We watched Paranorman, which was an okay movie, but definitely not the best animation movie that I've seen. After, we went to Moxie's for dinner.

Glasses Drama.
Since it was labour today, my assistance at the shop was required. It was fairly busy most of the time, but nothing too much that I couldn't handle. When I got home, I decided to fix my glasses and tighten it. I realized that the screws where not aligned with the hinges. I unscrewed it and discovered that it is very difficult to put it back in. At that time, I was beating myself for making this stupid decision. It took me forever just to realign the screw. I was so close to give up on it and just wear contacts until i get a new pair of glasses. In the end, I got he screw back in perfectly. Looks like I have to do some monthly check up on these glasses or else the screw will get out of line again.

Move In.
Today was my brother's move in day. The line up to get into the dorm area wasn't too bad when we arrived. We totally packed light as everyone else brought luggages after luggages. We went to Country Boy for lunch and said our goodbyes to my brother. It'll be a boring day for him because he doesn't know anyone and fresh starts tomorrow. Hopefully he'll meet some new friends.
I didn't really sleeping well last night so I think I only got around 4 hours of sleep. The drive to Waterloo was not that bad, but I was dead when we has to drive back. Thank god my dad drove the trip back. Now I'm stuck at work, waiting for the signal to head back home. I really need some sleep...

Packing For Uni.
Last minute packing for my brother for his first day to university. I also did some packing of my own so I don't have to bring it in next week. Everyone is pretty excited to move my brother in tomorrow, except for my brother. I don't think he's very happy that he needs to start university. Everyone's making a big deal about it, but really, he's gonna be back almost every week. If he doesn't come back, I'll be back to bring stuff back for him. So really, there's nothing to worry about. Then again, this was the same situation as 3 years ago when I packed for university...

Last Dimsum.
I slept early yesterday just so I can wake up early today for our last dimsum with my grandpa before school starts. I was supposed to wake up at 9, but my alarm didn't go off because I accidentally set it as PM. Even though I had about 9 hours of sleep, I still feel fatigue. Now I'm still stuck at work and probably have to wait closing to leave. This sucks!

Volleyball Date.
I had a volleyball date with Kim and Edwin again today. It was a good way to get some exercise today. I kinda want school to start soon because the days are passing by very slow lately. When the days pass by slow, I just eat and eat. This is not good...

Surprise Visit.
My dad made a surprised visit this morning because he didn't come on Sunday. He totally forgot about Patchi's moving in day this coming Sunday. Good thing we reminded him today. We went out for lunch and coincidentally, we bumped in to Andy at the restaurant. For some odd reason, we always bump into him!

Hope.
What a hectic day! I had to work today for a few hours, and it was a mess. Everything was very disorganized and orders came in at the wrong time. I had to end up doing some packing, which was usually my brother's job so I wasn't too familiar. Not to mention the driver slept in today and came late for work.
I saw this article/picture on face book about a father's love to her daughter with cerebral palsy. He ran over 70 races including half marathons and triathlons. Rick van Beek, that father, once said that his daughter loves being in the outdoors and that she is his heart and he is her legs. The whole story was very inspirational and emotional. Looks like there's really hope in the world.

Phos!
Today was a very easy day. We went to Pho's for lunch and did some shopping for my brother for university. After dropping my mom at work, we went back home to have some dinner before heading out again for bubble tea. During bubble tea, I had to go to Ray's house to pick up my lab coat before he leaves to the states. A couple of my other friends joined us at bubble tea as we were about to leave. it's been a while since we hung out, so it was nice seeing them again.

Late Night Gaming.
Today was work day for both my brother and I. I decided to bring the iPad instead of my macbook because there's no room to use my computer when my brother is there. It was pretty convenient and it didn't consume a lot of battery either. It was busy at times at work today, which was good I guess. When I got back, my brother and I decided to play some Super Smash Bros Brawl before we go to bed. Usually, I would say 'no' because it was pretty late, but I agreed because it's summer and we need to have some fun before we go back to school.

No Show Again.
Two of my students didn't show up for their piano lesson again. Their mother totally forgot to tell me that they couldn't make it today. Overall, today was pretty boring. Not to mention I ate the same thing for lunch and dinner. I doubt that tomorrow is going to be any better.

Indoor Beach Volleyball. (August 24, 2012)
Volleyball tonight again! I went to North Beach Volleyball to play some indoor each volleyball. Thank god that the people there aren't too pro. I'm surprised that I'm not that bad too (other than overhand hits). I probably did a month worth of exercise tonight. Must go there again!
Thursday, August 23, 2012
Volleyball Part 1!
It's been a while since I played volleyball. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be sore tomorrow. What sucks is that I have another volleyball date tomorrow night. Hopefully I'll be better by then, but if not, I guess I'm popping some advils before I leave. After volleyball, I went to bubble tea at Go4tea with some friends.

A Day of Waiting.
Despite of a late night yesterday, I woke up relatively early. I noticed that the internet was out, so I just read a book and chilled for the rest of the morning. When my brother woke up, I made some lunch for both of us. After lunch, we set up the Wii so we can play Super Smash Brothers Brawl. When everything was set up and ready to go, we realized that our wiimotes are out of battery. In the end, we waited for a few hours for the rechargeable batteries to recharge. While waiting for the batteries to recharge, I opened the new iPad that my mom got form my cousin (cause the internet was back up and running). Unlike the other apple products, this one was out of battery, so I have to charge it up in order to do anything to it. So basically, it was all waiting from there on.
When the batteries were done recharging, we played a good couple of hours. Then I decided to check on the iPad and set it up so we can use it. I realized that the iPad was from Hong Kong (the adaptor is an Hong Kong outlet), so I used one of our macbooks extra adaptor. I was going to use my iPhone usb adaptor, but my research told me that it'll charge twice as slow as the adaptor that came with the iPad. In the end, everything worked out, so it's all good!

Timothy Green.
Today was a good day. Went to the movies with my brother and watched 'The Odd Life of Timothy Green'. It was just as good as the trailer! We shopped around and bought an air pump for my volleyball. Then we went to EB games to get Brawl for the wii because there's nothing to do at home.
My mom called me and gave us a pleasant surprise. Apparently, my cousin bought an 64gb iPad for my mom. She's too rich...

KBBQ Dinner. (August 20, 2012)
I keep on forgetting to blog before 12! Now I have to do catch up blogs. Today, I went to KBBQ dinner with some people from Waterloo and with Nathan and them. A couple of my friends from Waterloo actually drove all the way from Waterloo to Toronto just to see Nathan. We had a great time and hopefully we will visit Nathan in Alberta next time.

Return of X Factor UK.
The X Factor UK is back and the first episode was aired yesterday. There wasn't a whole lot of auditions, but it was a good premiere. Mel B, aka Scary Spice from Spice Girls, was being really mean and direct to the contestants. Her bluntness was pretty dry and funny. Can't wait for the rest of the series!
Alcohol Allergy? (August 18, 2012)
Only two of my students came for a piano lessons today. Two of them probably forgot to notify me that they couldn't make it this week. I went to my cousin's family party tonight, though I didn't really want to go. I ended up playing the dice drinking game (kinda like cheat) because I've been turning my cousin down for a drink. It's been a while that I drank, and I don't think I took it too well. I might have some alcohol allergy or intolerance. I guess I have to build up my tolerance again...

Easy Day.
When we arrived to my aunt's house, my nephew was taking his nap already. I spent most of the time on the computer. When my nephew woke up, he wasn't hyper like before, thank god! I played a bit with him and then his mother called to go for dinner.

Chasing in Playground.
Babysit today was terrible. My nephew did not listen to anyone or whatsoever. We went to the park and boy, he was going crazy. We were literally chasing him around the playground and make sure he doesn't climb and go on the dangerous ones. Good thing he went to take his nap after lunch. Since I woke up pretty early today, I took a short nap myself. Then I turned on my laptop and watched an episode of White Collar and played some pokemon platinum.

Babysitting.
I babysat for a few hours today, and boy it was tiring. Thank god my nephew went to take a nap in the afternoon because I don't think I'll have that much energy to deal with him for the whole day. Tomorrow I have to go with my grandpa to babysit again, except this time I have to go earlier. I think it would've been better if I woke up a bit later because early mornings and hyperactive kids does not make a great combination. Tomorrow's gonna be a long day...
Channel Surfing. (August 14, 2012)
Day passed by so slow when there's nothing to do. I started to do some channel surfing and landed on Spike TV, where they have a marathon of a show called America's Worst Tenants. I don't care if it's fake or not, it was entertaining. I ended up going to bed early today because i got assigned to babysit tomorrow and have to leave very early in the morning. Sucks...

License Renewal.
I woke up at 8:30am this morning so I can go to Service Canada to renew my drivers license. I was finally able to use the August metro pass that my mom's friend found. When I got to the center, there was a huge line up. Good thing all the booths were opened, so the line moved pretty fast. I filled out a form because I didn't get a renewal post card, but apparently I didn't even need one. I was surprised how easy it was to renew the license.
My dad was late to pick us up to go to my aunt's house for dinner. Even though dinner was at like 9:30pm, the food he made was really good. Too bad he's not in the food business now, because he's a really talented cook.

Closing Ceremony.
The olympics are finally over, though the closing ceremony wasn't too spectacular. The highlight of the ceremony was definitely the performance of Spice Girls. Victoria Beckham is always so hot. I'm actually excited for the winter games in Sochi, Russia, as there's more cultural traditions in Russia. Bye bye olympics, and see you in 2 years!

Choked.
The Olympics is coming to an end, and I must admit, the Canadians totally choked in most parts. There are some surprises here and there, but overall, most of the favourites did not medal, which was disappointing. Oh well, I guess it's not meant to be...

Super Active Nephew.
I swear my nephew has ADHD. He's way too active and doesn't stop when we tell him to. He continues to go crazy and run around the house. Looking after and babysitting him is tiring, and by dinner time, I already wanted to go home and sleep. When I got back home, Kim texted me to go out to McDee's for some coffee and catch up.

Bugged Internet.
I finally have a day to relax. Watched some olympics and catch up on my shows. The internet was being stupid for the whole day. There was something wrong with rogers because the internet kept going on and off. I called the technical support and arranged an appointment for someone to come over and check it over. soon after the phone call, the internet started to work again. This always happens and now I have to cancel the appointment. Since the appointment is scheduled Sunday morning, I could technically cancel it tomorrow. This gives the internet some time to settle and prove that it's fixed.

Expensive Pizza.
Unpacking is one of the worst part after a trip, especially when you're absolutely tired from the jam-packed days from before. my family woke up and started unpacking right away so we can get it over with. Since the apartment was unattended for a few days, we did some cleaning around the house. Our aunt called us to take up out for dinner. We went to this small restaurant up north, called Hanson's restaurant. They serve chinese and italian food, which was a REALLY weird mix. Their food was okay, but too expensive in my opinion. Also, the service wasn't that great either...
San Francisco 2012 (August 4-7, 2012)
August 4
I ended up getting less than 5 hours of sleep, waking up at 4:30am to get ready to leave. It was a rough morning at the airport because we were so close to the deadline for check-in. Once I was on the plane, I passed out for two hours. I was surprised at the film selections that they have on the plane as some of them were pretty recent. Once we landed in San Francisco, it was all family affair and met up with two different group of families (for lunch and then for dinner).
August 5
Today was the 'party' day, but before it comes the shopping trip. The mall we went to was equivalent to Vaughan Mills here. We didn't as much stuff as we think we would, but got a few pairs of shoes. After shopping, we head home to get ready for the party. When we arrived to the restaurant, my grandpa put my brother and I at the entrance to locate the seating for people. The problem was that our comprehension of Chinese was limited (especially when the characters were in simplified). The rest of the night was awkward because my brother and I were placed into a random table as a results of a dispute of two families. Thank god that time flew because I really didn't want to be there.
August 6
Our second shopping trip was to San Jose (I totally forgot the mall's name. It's West-something). Today's trip was mainly looking for formal wear stuff. We went to Macy's to look at suits, and boy there was a huge selection. We ended up getting 3 sets of suits, where I can fit nicely into all 3 of them, and my brother can only fit into 2 of them nicely. After the suit shopping, we were pretty much exhausted.
August 7
Originally, we had a stacked schedule in the morning before we leave San Francisco in the afternoon. Things started to crumble when my uncle couldn't board on his flight to San Francisco form Hong Kong, and went to Japan instead. We were supposed to visit our other aunt in San Francisco, but decided to cancel on that because we were going to meet up again in Toronto later in on this month. We had out last lunch in San Francisco, and went to the airport for our flight.

Packed Up and Ready To Go.
All packed up to go to San Francisco! I have to wake up at 4:30am tomorrow, so that means I'll probably get less than 6 hours of sleep. Oh well. San Francisco, here I come! (I will update/catch up with the daily blogging when I'm back on Wednesday.

Swollen Eye.
I woke up early this morning and I did not feel too great. I noticed that my left eye was slight swollen (not too bad though), which may be the cause of lack of sleep or allergic reaction. I spent most of the day 'trying' to study for my last exam, but I gave up in the end because I was so tired. Apparently, I didn't look too good today...

Reduced Game Plan.
I woke up at 6:30am this morning to cram some more on mythology. The exam was actually really easy, as I finished it in less than 30 minutes. Due to the regulations of the exams in the university, I have to remain in the test area for at least an hour. I was right about the exam because it was either hit or miss (and thankfully, majority of them were hits). After the exam, I treated myself with some olympics and began a little bit on accounting. At first, I didn't know where to start studying and I was too tired to make a game plan for this tomorrow night exam.
I did some calculations and the lowest I can get with a 0% on the final exam (which is impossible) is a 60% overall. That means that by showing up to the exam, I have already pass the course. Of course, the higher the mark, the better. I would be satisfied if I finish with a 80%. Anything higher than 85% would be a plus. Since I don't have to do exceptionally well on this final, I think I'm going to lessen my work load and just focus on the written portion of the exam. After all, if I hit around 50% on the exam, I can get myself a high 70's or 80 overall. More importantly, I need to get some sleep or else I'll get sick AGAIN.

Bronze Medal Haul.
As I expected, I procrastinated and streamed some olympics while I was studying. Canada won three bronze medal within 2 hours, so I guess it was worth it. The women's gymnastic team final was intense as well, but USA clearly had the better performance and aced every routine. Canada surprisingly came in 5th place, which apparently made more history.
It was a long wait/cramming to write my econ exam. The exam was not as bad as I thought it would be, but I'm glad that it's over with. I just finish skimming through my mythology notes for the second time (when I sad skim, I really did mean skim). I'm planning to sleep a bit earlier today so I can wake up earlier tomorrow to cram for 2 hours or so before winging the exam. This is not gonna be fun...

First Medal.
Canada finally won its first medal at the 2012 Olympic games, which was a bronze in 3 meter springboard synchronized diving. Women's eight in rowing also dominated their heat. Women's gymnastic team also made it to team finals for the first time in non-boycotted games. What an eventful day!
In the afternoon, I went to Kim and Viv's house to finish up the decoration and preparation for their parent's 25th anniversary party. The party was a huge success and everything went according to plan.

Bad Day For Gymnasts.
I woke up around 6:30 this morning because of my brother's cough. I tried falling back to sleep again, but it was no use. I decided to get up and watch some olympics while studying. After finishing lecture slides, I took a short nap (since there's nothing good to watch). Canada didn't do too well today, though I really didn't expect it. Some of them were strong (a pair of rowers, women's soccer, beach volleyball), but most of them faltered. The men's qualification for gymnastics was intense because all of the favourites were falling off their apparatuses. I can't wait for tomorrow's events!
London Olympics 2012. (July 27, 2012)
London Olympic 2012 official begins today! I watched the opening ceremony and it was definitely different from the Beijing Olympics four years ago. One was based on history, and the other was more towards illusion motion. Over all, it was a good show!

Econ All Day.
I tried really hard not to get distracted and focus on econ. I got quite a bit done, but there were so many graphs that it was really easy to get mixed up with. The thing is that the graphs are so simple and similar that it is hard to wrap my mine around it and learn the relationship between the graphs. This is gonna be uphill until the exam.
I just found out that I have to work tomorrow, and I'm super pissed about it. First of all, I have to study for my exams, and I don't have a lot of time to do it. Second of all, it's the opening ceremony for the London Olympics. My stupid brother decides to go to a party, and didn't ask me about it first. I cancelled all my plans when he had to study for his exams. So inconsiderate.

Nasty Storm.
Olympics unofficially started as the round-robin games for women's soccer started. I streamed a soccer game (Canada vs Japan) this morning at the library. I was disappointed with how Canada played because I thought they were better. Then again, Japan is the reigning world cup champion, so I wasn't surprised when Canada lost. I still expected them to play better because there were a lot of hype about that team.
The last accounting lecture was short, with a bit of review. Katie decided to sit in the class because she was meeting up with her friend after. I was barely paying attention to class but somehow still got the clicker questions right. After class, I stayed at DC for a while until it was time to head to the station to catch the 7:30 bus. I got to downtown around 9:00, and boy it was busy. The subway were slow and packed. When I got tot he RT, the weather got worse and was pouring outside. Luckily, my mom picked me up form McCowan station so I didn't really get wet at all.

Shortened Classes FTW!
Both of my classes today were shortened, so yay! I expected that econ would be shorten because the prof just did some administrative work. I gave the notes that I copied to the girl who didn't show up last week to class. When I told her she can keep it, her eyes lit up like she just got a christmas present. Making people that happy makes me feel good about myself.
I was surprised that mythology class was shorten because I thought we were covering two chapters. In the end, the prof only covered one chapter, which is weird because we totally skipped this one chapter that was stated in the course outline. I don't know if we are responsible for the material, so I read through the chapter anyways. The material is pretty straightforward, but I don't think I'm gonna spend a lot of time on it.

Distractions.
Woot! Short week since class ends on Wednesday! Today, we went for Dimsum since we had to vista LCBO again to make some exchange for our trip to San Francisco. After multiple trips to LCBO, we finally got the right ice wine for my relatives.
For some reason, whenever my final exams approach, I lose all my motivation in studying. Maybe it's the topic because the courses that I'm taking this term is not that interesting. I really need to get a move on it because I know I'll be distracted with the Olympics...

Screwed Up Assignment.
I finished my last accounting assignment, and boy it was a total piss off. The concept was not that difficult as I just input numbers into different equations. What pissed me off was that some of my answers got changed when I submitted it. I decided not to redo it since my top 10 marks are already pretty good.
I went to my aunt's place with my mom to giver her some ice wine to bring to San Francisco. She asked about school, and obviously my brother became the topic of the conversation. Everyone is really proud of his achievements and will forever be the topic when we're in San Francisco. After, my aunt asked about my education, which I wasn't exactly proud of it. I was so shocked with her inquiry, that all I said was, "still the same thing." I think my mom noticed the awkwardness and started telling her how I'm thinking of going into nursing and stuff. I guess she can tell that I was a bit uncomfortable talking about school and future. It was weird because I have never been the topic about school and stuff, especially not about my brother's success. No doubt, my future plan/path is definitely less appealing than my brother's, but hey, what can I do? Regardless, I'm still proud of him, though I'll basically have to work under his shadow now.

LCBO Adventure. (July 21, 2012)
I completed one of the 2 accounting assignments today, which didn't take too long. I technically don't have to do the last one because I'm satisfied with my top ten marks. It's weird because the last assignment is due on thursday, not next tuesday.
I went to work today because my brother went to Market Village to cheer for his friend who made it to the final of some sort of competition. Work was pretty much redundant as I didn't do much during those 4 hours. After work, I went to LCBO to do some ice wine shopping with my mom. It's actually the first time going into LCBO and buying something (my mom made me use my credit card to buy the ice wines). I thought the cashier was going to card me, but I realized that my mom was there so I guess it's not needed.

Getting Better.
My throat is a lot better today, though my nose got really stuffy. I don't know what's worse, having a runny nose, or having a stuffy nose. My cough is starting to come, so I guess I'll get better soon. I cancelled all my lessons for tomorrow, so I'll have time to rest and do my accounting assignment.

Taking Pills Without Water.
Econ ended early today, so I managed to catch the 11:30 bus. I was pretty excited because I could ge back to toronto earlier. Apparently, it was the Guelph detour, so it took a bit longer to get back to Toronto. I ended up reaching Toronto around 1:30, which is half an hour earlier, so I guess that's okay.
After the bus ride, I couldn't stand the fever and pain (I could barely walk because of the fatigue). I stopped by the drug store and got some advil. Stupid me forgot to buy a bottled of water, so I decided to just take it while i'm eating my McDouble. Since my throat hurts, It was hard to swallow a ball of chewed food wrapped around the tablet, but it worked in the end!

Cough Drops.
My throat got worse overnight, and it's really irritating me right now. Not to mention I'm also running out of medication. During accounting lecture, I passed out for a bit. Thankfully, I woke up in time to do the clicker questions. I had to borrow some cough drop from Georgie and hopefully it'll make a difference.

Phlegm and Runny Nose.
Again, I woke up this morning feeling like shit. My nose was kinda runny and I had phlegm in my throat. I didn't feel so well through econ and wanted to skip my mythology lecture later, but I decided to suck it up and stayed on campus.
I was pretty productive today so I rewarded myself with a few episode of White Collar. The series is actually really good and it kinda forces me to study more so I can watch more episodes as a reward. exam is in two weeks, so I have to get as much studying done as possible.

Sore Throat.
I woke up with a sore through this morning. I knew it was coming since my whole family was sick. I popped some Advil Cold and decided to work on my accounting assignment again. I ended up with a 96 and decided that i would redo it again because it's a waste of time.
The bus ride back was longer than usual (I think he bus driver didn't take the 407 route). The bus was pretty empty, and the AC wasn't on too high, so overall it was a good ride. There was a guy who taped his laptop screen with some masking tape, which looked pretty ghetto. Props to him!

So Freaking Hot!
My dad decided to cook us lunch today. He came over with all the ingredients and made steak salad, lemongrass chicken and mango rice rolls. My dad has always been a good cook and it's been a long time that he cooked us something to eat.
My grandpa is sick, so we adjusted the AC to minimum since the spot where he chills is right under the vent. So now, I'm super hot and beginning to develop a head. This sucks!

Not Too Bad Of An Assignment.
The second accounting assignment wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Apparently, I knew more than I thought I did, and was able to answer most of the questions. Sometimes, I used the wrong interest rates, which made me answers weird. Fortunately, I was about to detect the problem before submitting the assignment. I ended up getting a 94.58% not the first try, so I decided to leave it for the day and decide tomorrow if I want to redo it.

Dying Stomach.
I woke up really early today because I had an upset stomach. In the end, I only ended up with around 6 hours of sleep. Three of my piano students ended up coming today for their lessons, so I only have to teach one student tomorrow, which is pretty sweet. Just now, I went to McDonalds for a quick snack with Kim. I don't know if it's smart because my stomach is still not feeling that great (way better than this morning though).

Lost In Econ.
Econ is getting more and more confusing. There are so many similar scenarios, yet they're so different. The final exam is gonna be a rough ride...
On the bus ride back to Toronto, I witness a pretty bad accident on the 401. The car was lit on fire and the traffic was terrible. Good thing it was on the westbound and it didn't affect our side that much. I don't think anyone was injured.
Since my brunch date got postponed again, I had to settle with McDonalds. I had my lunch with Kim at her mom's shop because she was there to look after it when her mom went for a dentist appointment. After, I went to the shop and waited for my mom to get off work so we can go buy a gift. I ended up working for a little bit just because I was there doing nothing. Then I had Phos with my mom and my brother for dinner. Not really an eventful day, but it was enough for my to tire me out.

Bonds Madness.
I was really indecisive about what to eat for lunch. I was surprisingly not hungry, but ended up settling for a burger at DC. I really didn't want to eat a burger as i'm trying my best to eat healthier, but there wasn't a lot of options. What's worse is that my brunch date tomorrow got cancelled. Looks like I'll be eating McDonalds again...
Accounting class was deadly and miserable today. We started on bonds, which was really confusing. I was so overwhelmed that I couldn't process what my prof was talking about. I also realized that I have two assignments to do this week. This just sucks.

Dozing Off...
Today's lecture halls were FREEZING! Even the library was getting a bit chilly. I hope i'm not getting sick again because it sure feels like it.
The lectures today seemed like it dragged on forever. By the half way point of each lecture, I wasn't even concentrating anymore. Given that there's only 3 more weeks of school, my mine is already thinking about chilling after exams. That's not a good sign...

Cold Bus.
My mom decided to take the opening shift at the shop this morning, so I had no choice but to follow her to the shop before heading back to Waterloo. It was a good thing that I didn't decide to leave right away because it was quite busy this morning. Since I wasn't in a rush to head back to Waterloo, I stayed until 3:00 or so. When I got to the bus station, I just missed the bus by 2 minutes! Thankfully, there was another bus that came shortly. That bus really cranked up the AC, but nothing close to M3! I took a short nap instead of sleeping through the whole ride, though I thought I would pass out right away since I woke up early to help my brother with his enrollment. Looked like the ice coffee that I drank this morning actually worked!

Bye Bye Weekend.
I feel a lot better today. No more symptoms of the cold, thank god. I spent the rest of the day watching the last few episode of Canada Sings (there's only six episodes per seasons!!). Just now, I finished watching a film called "Peaceful Warrior". The message of this film was pretty inspiring, but the movie was a tad too long. The plot dragged on a little bit, but overall, a good movie.
I'm kinda sad that the weekend is coming to an end. That means I have to go back to Waterloo and start studying for finals (because I have nothing better to do, sad eh?).

Getting Sick.
I slept early last night (around 12:30) and woke up at 10:30 this morning so I can get ready and clean up the living room before my students come for their lessons. I did NOT want to wake and and I fully had 10 hours of sleep. I think I'm sick...
On the bright side, Canada Sings is back for season 2! Apparently it was airing for a while, so it's time to stream them! Finally, something entertaining to do!

Maplestory Fun.
Major traffic on the 401 today. Took longer to get back to Toronto. Brunch got cancelled, so I had to buy McDonalds again. When I got home, I played a bit of Maplestory (one of the only games that I cam only play, sadly). I should plan more events because it's really hard to write an entry...

Special Schedule.
Wow, what an unproductive day! Since today was a Monday schedule day, I didn't have any classes (yup, no accounting!!!) I spent half of the day in the library chilling and reading stuff online. I should really start studying for finals, but I do need a break from school now and then. Sometimes, i wish I am more occupied so I don't have to look for stuff ti entertain myself because that's very tiring!

Stupid Fly.
This morning was crazy. Too crazy for my liking! After taking a shower, I realized that there's a fly in my room! Like WTF?!?! I'm pretty sure it's not coming from my room because my room is pretty clean. It probably came from outside because our suite wasn't dirty at all. Anyhow, I managed to trap the fly with a cup. I decided to release it back outside, and once I got out, I realized that I forgot my keys! I was running out of time and I kinda panicked. The only solution is to go to the management office and get my door opened. When i got downstairs, the caretaker lady was still around, so I asked her if she can open the door for me. Thankfully, she has the spare keys and I don't have to ditch out $10 just to get my door open. In the end, I wasn't able to blow dry my hair, so I decided to wear a cap. God, I was a mess today...

Strep-Throat Infection?
After eating lunch at this relatively sketchy place at the plaza, my throat started to feel funny. I feel like I'm getting a strep-throat infection. Last time I had it, about a year ago around my birthday, was deadly. It hurts to swallow and talk, and my whole body was aching. I really hope it's not something serious this time around. Never going to that restaurant ever again...

Celebratory Feast.
It was a nice say outside this morning as my mom, my brother and I went out for a stroll. It was hot under the sun, but cool under the shade. The air was very fresh as well. People were already setting for the fireworks tonight, placing the oversized lamps around the park. After the stroll, we went to have our celebratory lunch for my brother's graduation.
I watched a bit of fireworks from my building, but they're all the same really. I stayed for the first few fireworks, then went back to watch the US Gymnastic Olympic trials. The competition was so intense as all the girls wanted a spot on the team. Anyhow, I decided to sleep early tonight because I had a slight headache.

Amazing Race.
I decided to work on my accounting assignment today and it was the worst! The questions were so confusing! When I looked at the solutions, I would have never got it on my own. I ended up getting 2 wrong on my second attempt, so I left it because I don't want to go through another round of punching numbers into the calculator.
I was watching the Canadian Track and Field trials (mainly the 100m hurdles for women). The hurdle race was intense as there were two false started. Two of Canada's best medalling hopes failed to make it into the top three, thus, not going to the olympics. The eventual winner was a heptathalete. She was in tears because she felt guilty in taking a coveted spot for the olympics. She considered forfeiting her spot in the 100m hurdles, but her coach persuade her to do both events. Nontheless, it was a really exciting race to watch!

Hermes' Trick.
My mark for mythology came out this afternoon. I ended up with a 92, which is not bad at all! I realized that my mark or the first midterm revert back to my original mark without the bell curve. I decided to email to my prof to see what's wrong. Apparently, there was something wrong with the system and changed everyone's mark back to the old ones. He creatively posted an announcing on Learn and and blamed Hermes for his trickery. Corny prof rules!

Smelly Greyhound Bus.
Econ is getting really hard right now and it's taking me forever to wrap my mind around it. Today's lecture was pretty bad because I kept on zoning out. My mind was basically in 'relax' mode after my mythology midterm.
The greyhound bus that I was taking smelled like urine. It was really nasty at first because the air condition wasn't on, hence, no air circulation. Once the driver started the bus and turned on the air condition, the smell started to fade.

Drained.
I didn't so too bad on my econ midterm! I ended up with an 85.45%, which was above my expectations. I decided to take today off and do nothing after my accounting class (mainly because I didn't have a good night sleep and I didn't want to start on my accounting assignment). I did some researching on Master programs for nursing. There are definitely a lot more programs in the States than in Canada. The ones in the States are more specialized as well. There are not a lot of selections in Canada in terms of specializations, though it'll be a lot cheaper than studying in the States. I think I'm thinking too ahead of the game right now. I should focus on getting my BScN first and decide later for my Masters. One goal at a time, right?

Last Midterm.
Wow, I almost forgot to blog today because I was so chilled out from finishing my last midterm! The mythology midterm was pretty easy. I was worried that it'll be hard since last term's midterm was easy. I'm glad that that's out of the way. Now I just need to focus on getting though accounting assignments done on time and perhaps start studying for my finals.
My brother got his final marks today and he totally killed most of his exams. His top-6 average remained the same as his may deadline average, which was pretty good considering everyone's average drops after exams. Somehow, he managed to get a 97 and 95 on religion and english exam respectively (two of the most subjective courses). What makes me sad is that he beat me in biology as well, and I'm supposed to be the 'biology-major' (well, ex bio major now). He definitely got the bragging rights right now...

Lucky Brother.
Today wasn't eventful as I spent most of the time traveling back to Waterloo. I went to my bank this morning to start a new Tax-free savings account. Since I have extra money, I might as well earn some interest (also to prevent me from spending a lot of money). Our family had dim sum at the plaza since my grandpa didn't have a Mahjong date. When we got back, Patchi received a nice surprise from Waterloo. At first, we thought that the mail was about the Student 101 event in July or August (or it could've been a rejection letter, you never know!). When Patchi first opened it, he was relieved because it started out as "I am happy...". But as he read on, he realized that he received an accounting scholarship for $5k! I didn't believe him so I took his letter and read it. It was true! He just received a major University of Waterloo scholarship! My mom and my grandpa were in shocked because his marks weren't stellar. We went online to check out what kind of scholarship it was and what were the requirements. Apparently, only two people from the 3 accounting programs (AFM, Math/CA, Biotech/CA) and computing financial management program are eligible for this scholarship. Man, he is the luckiest person I've ever known!
Now that I'm back at Waterloo, things are depressing again. I have to resume to studying for my mythology midterm tomorrow. I read through everything already, but I feel like I can still crams one more minor details in, just incase.

Morning Stroll.
Last night, my mom told me that toddy's morning stroll is cancelled because it was going to rain. This morning, my mom woke me up and said that it was sunny and made both my brother and I go to the park and take a walk. The air was nice and I did some speed walking around the park (I decided not to jog because it will be bad if I do vigorous exercise out of the blue).
Today was a nice day to get some quality studying done. I managed to skim through all the material for my mythology midterm on Tuesday. Now, I just have to see if my brain can retain all those information.

Late Night Snack.
So it seems like when I'm bored and have nothing to do, I tend to forget to blog. Well, I do have things to do like studying for my midterm for mythology.
I spent the majority of the day working on my accounting assignment. I understood the concepts and knew how to do all the questions, but the online assignment was really stupid. There were some rounding errors here and there, so I didn't know which number to use. I ended spending around 4 hours to complete the assignment, which was way too long. I didn't get as far as I wanted or mythology either. I think I'm pretty much screwed.
Around 9:30 at night, I was craving for any food, specifically chicken balls and chicken wings. Since I have to pick up my mom from work anyways, I asked her if she can bring some food home for us to eat. I know it's probably bad for me (as in I'm gonna get fat) but its okay once in a while, right?

Guelph Bus Sucks.
The econ midterm was pretty difficult. Some of them were pretty tricky and played with my head. The longer I thought about it, the more screwed I was because I knew I'll start to over think it. Hopefully the outcome won't be too bad.
I was happy that I finished early and managed to catch the 6:30 bus back to Toronto. Apparently, that bus was a Guelph detour bus, which took an extra hour for the bus to reach Toronto. I wasn't too happy about it, but hey, what can I do about it?
When I got back to toronto, we went to KBBQ for dinner. I haven't ate so much for a while now, not to mention KBBQ. I was supposed to work on my accounting assignment tonight, but KBBQ was too tempting. Looks like I'll be cramming those myths for the next 3 days for my mythology midterm...

Weather Has Mood Swings Too.
Because of the midterm tomorrow, I couldn't return to Toronto today. I'm supposed to be chilling in Toronto right now, but no, I'm stuck in Waterloo studying econ.
The weather was great this morning and early afternoon. Around 4:30pm, the sky started to darken and I knew the thunderstorm that was supposed to come yesterday finally arrived. It started to pour when Katie and I were walking to the restaurant for dinner. Since Georgie went back to Toronto today, I decided to have a dinner date with Ryan and Katie. We went eat some Taiwanese food, which wasn't too bad I must admit. It's been a while that I've ate with Katie and Ryan in Waterloo, and it was pretty fun.
I think I'm going to sleep early tonight because there's nothing much to study for econ and I want tomorrow to come earlier. I have to wake up relatively early because I have to go to my accounting tutorial to pick up my midterm. It'll be my first time going to tutorial, and I think I'm just gonna pick up my exam and leave.

Miracle!
Since I didn't have classes in the morning, Georgie and I decided to go to Bomber's for the $2.99 breakfast. It wasn't as good as Country Boy's breakfast, but it was still decent. The portion was obviously smaller, but I was quite full after finishing it. I think it was because it was still pretty early when we ate.
Studying econ had been extremely borrow. I did the sample midterm and it was quite difficult. I am really not looking forward in writing this midterm, but I want to get over it asap because I'm tired of studying stuff that I believe I know already. The trickiest about this course was the application questions. I'm just so used to using the 'recognition' technique for science, that doing all these application questions kinda throws me off. Anyways, I should get back on studying...
P.S. MY SMELLY ROOMMATE ACTUALLY SHOWERED TODAY (I THINK)! IT'S A MIRACLE!!!!!

I Hate M3.
Tuesdays are never fun because I have a 3 hour lecture in M3. I absolutely hate the lecture hall because they always blast the air conditioner. According to my econ prof, the air conditioner is set based on the temperature outside. Since today is relatively hot, the lecture hall is pretty much a freezer.
Study econ had been difficult. I got tired too easily throughout the day. Not to mention that the material was 'easy' to read. I have a feeling that I still won't be able to answer the questions even if I feel like I know all the material already. There were a couple of equations to remember as well. Fun...

Upset Stomach.
I woke up today with an upset stomach, but I still went to eat some Korean BBQ for lunch. I was surprised that I still had the appetite to eat. Either way, it was a good lunch and thankfully my stomach didn't react up again.
The bus ride back to Waterloo was great, e.i. no smelly people beside me or people lending over me. When I got back to my suite, the first thing that came into my mind was the BO that was lingering last week. Thank god it was gone, because I don't think I can deal with it for another well. My assumption is that it'll get bad again near the end of the week.
I'm starting to get a bit tired right now, but it's still pretty early. I need to do some major studying tonight, so hopefully I'll keep up.

Pokemon Tower Defence.
I was supposed to study a bit of econ today, but I ended up playing Pokemon Defence Tower all day long. That game was addicting. Must stop playing and start studying econ! God, I have no life...

Slow Day.
What an uneventful day! I taught piano in the mornings and the afternoons, like usual. Then, I went to work, thinking that it'll be pretty busy at the shop. I left the shop around 8:30 because business was going slow. Apparently, once I left, the orders started coming in. Looks like I'm the unlucky one around!

Impossible Accounting Exam.
The accounting midterm was extremely long. 31 M/C, 2 income statements, 1 balance sheet, 1 cash flow and 3 sets of journalling. All of this in 1.5 hours? Barely finished. I pretty much skimmed through the multiple choices, hoping that I didn't miss all the important points. I completed my last income statement in less than 5 minutes. It was crazy. I forgot that the last 3 multiple choices were a bonus and totally missed it. I ended up filling in 3 random bubbles, which pissed me off because I know I could've got them!
After the exam, I rushed to the bus station, hoping to catch the 6:30 bus (my exam ended at 6:00). I got to the bus station around 6:24, but there was a line up to buy the ticket. Luckily, I got my ticket before 6:30 and managed to catch the bus back to Toronto. My mom decided to have our father's day dinner early with my grandfather, which was good since I didn't have a proper dinner last night.

Smelly Monster Strikes Again. (June 14)
It was not fun studying accounting. Sometimes, I was spot-on on some questions, but other times, I tend to forget to include something. I really don't know how the AFM kids do this. It's so stressful.
I was so stressed that I started eating my bag of chips. I eventually finished about half of the bag (yuck). Not to mention that I didn't have a proper dinner (ice cream).
When I came back home from the library, I noticed that there was this strong, dense smell. It was so strong that I gagged and almost puked. It was my roommate. The smelly, dirty monster. Maybe it was because today was hot or something, so his BO was especially strong. Thank god the smell didn't protrude into my room, though the smell was starting to go through my vent. It was so bad that my Glade only lasted for half an hour. What did I do to deserve this kinda of treatment???

Chilly Day.
The sun was very deceiving this morning. I thought it would be pretty warm, but I was SO wrong. I went out in my shorts, t-shirt, and flops. The first time was horrible as the wind blew pass me. It wasn't too bad when I was under the sun though, which was good. I spend an hour or so at Conestoga Mall to hand in my OSAP forms and look for Chris' birthday gift. The gift took me less time than I thought it would take. Efficiency. I had a craving for tacos, so I went to the Taco Bell to get the 5 tacos and a drink deal. Surprisingly, 5 tacos was REALLY filling!
I went straight back to the library after going to the mall. At first, I went to DC to look for a spot. Of course, it was full. DC is ALWAYS full. Even though my next class was in DC, I decided to go to DP to study because I knew I can always find a spot there. I continued with my accounting problems, and surprisingly they didn't take too long. I don't know if I should be happy or not. I still feel i'm not ready and prepared. There's just too much room for errors in accounting.

Frozen In Lecture Halls.
University of Waterloo should turn down the air condition and save some money! Some lecture halls are way too cold! I had to sit through a 3-hour lecture in a room that felt like below 15 degrees. After the first an hour and a half, I started to develop a slight migraine. Not exactly the best 3 hours of the day.
Something funny (well, I thought it was funny) happened during the mythology lecture (yes, the 3-hour lecture). My prof started explaining why he chose the word 'derivatives' just incase people didn't understand what he was trying to explain on his slides. In the end, he said, "I guess no one uses derivative as part of their everyday language. Anyone in here uses it in their regular speech?" After he ask that question, I saw all these random people raising up their hands. Those are probably the mathies, which, at that time, was pretty amusing to me.
Dinner was interesting today as Georgie tried her new recipe. She kinda over cooked the broccoli and all the 'flower' part started to fall off. In the end, the broccolis ended up looking like a miniature tree that's losing it's leaves in fall/winter. It was pretty hilarious! On the bright side, the broccoli tasted good.

Bus Schedule Fail.
It was 12:50 when I got to the the Greyhound bus station. It was weird that there was no one lining up for the Kitchener bus. I pulled out my bus schedule and scanned over the departure times. I came across to 12:30pm, and right under it, it said 2:00pm. At first, I was okay with it, but few seconds later, it hit me. I was basically wasting over an hour waiting for the next bus to come. Never ever will I leave at 11:30 from my apartment again!

Procrastination Is My Liability.
I found out that I didn't have to find go to work today. Obviously, I didn't use my time wisely and procrastinated in studying accounting. Half of me felt like I am ready, but the truth is, I'm not. I spent my time eating, reading books, playing "Safe and Sound" by Taylor Swift ft The Civil War on the ukulele and more loafing. My mom decided that I should leave earlier tomorrow (a bit before lunch) so I can get some studying done in Waterloo, which is definitely a good idea.
To be honest, I really don't know how to study for accounting. I'm confident for the short answers (well most of the time and I know I can get most of the marks). The multiple choices will be a killer because everything is fair play. As I am reviewing the notes, barely anything is going into my head. I really don't know how to study for this course anymore...

My Life Is Boring.
Saturdays are always the least eventful day. I spent my day teaching piano and working at the shop. Again, I didn't do a lot of studying. At least I don't have to work tomorrow.

Red Lobster Heaven.
Before I went to bed last night, my nose started to get runny and stuffy. I came to the conclusion that I'm catching a cold, not an infection. I guess it was a good thing because all I need to do is to pop some advils. I was lazy this morning, so I didn't do a lot of accounting. I managed to complete my assignment because it was relatively short. It was an unproductive day before work.
After work, I went to UTSC to copy some solutions for accounting questions. Then, I went to Red Lobsters with Stephanie because there was a great deal. We ordered so much food that we didn't really touch our main course. There's my lunch tomorrow!

Weird Body Response.
Since I didn't have to meet up with someone back in Toronto, I decided to join Aaron and Tammy for brunch. As always, brunch was filling and amazing. After brunch, I took the bus back to Toronto. I slept through the whole ride because I didn't feel too good. For some odd reason, my body was burning up from time to time and I had a slight headache. I think I might have some sort of infection. Hopefully it's not too serious.

Rain and More Rain.
Today started out great as it was sunny in the morning, even though the forecast said there would be a thunderstorm. I went to Grab-a-Greek to get some greek salad and chicken souvlaki. The salad was surprisingly filling. While I was eating the salad in the library, the sunshine coming from my window suddenly disappeared. I looked out and saw this enormous grey cloud in the sky. Within the matter of minutes, rain started pouring. Thankfully, the rain stopped when I had to walk to my class.
My accounting class was a short one tonight, but my prof ended the lecture at the perfect time. During the lecture, the storm came back, pouring so hard that you can hear the pounding in the lecture all. After the lecture, the grey cloud moved on and there was sunshine again! Today was definitely a good day because i avoided getting totally drenched twice!

Burnt Bread.
I didn't end studying a lot for my Mythology midterm today, but the exam was alright overall. There were a lot of easy questions, but there were also a few "WTF" questions. I just hope that I did okay because I spent a lot of hours reading all the required chapters...
Tonight, my friend Georgie tried out her new dish and, like always, used me as a guinea pig. She made carbonara spaghetti and garlic bread. I was kind of in charged of the garlic bread and made sure that it doesn't burn. I turned around for 1-2 minutes (literally) and it turned black. ON the bright side, it wasn't totally burnt. With a little scraping, it was still edible. The carbonara spaghetti was not bad at all! Even though it wasn't salty enough, it still had the rich creamy flavour. All in all, tonight's dinner was definitely NOT a failure.

Time Wasted.
I was actually excited for the Mythology review session because the prof made it sound like he was going to review the readings with us. I was disappointed that it was just a Q&A session. So, I basically came back to Waterloo and woke up early for no reason. On the bright side, I finally finished the required readings for this midterm!
My exam schedule came out today as well. When I realized that all my exams were on the first week (e.g. all before August 5), I pumped my fist in the air. That means if I was to go to San Francisco for my grand-aunt's 95th birthday party, I won't have to rush back to do an exam! This summer is gonna be AWESOME!

A Close Call.
I was already in bed, reading away on my mythology textbook, and then I remembered something that I haven't done today - BLOG! That was a close one!
I decided to go back to Waterloo today instead of tomorrow because of the extra review session for mythology. Thinking that I'm pretty much screwed, I should get as much info as possible. I could technically bus back tomorrow morning, but I really don't want to go on the tic during rush hour with all my luggage (not to mention that it's gonna rain tomorrow as well). Plus, my dad could give me a ride to the bus station so I don't have to use a token!
I didn't get a lot of reading done as I like today. There were two reasons: 1) Miss USA, 2) Boring topic. Miss USA was alway exciting as every, though my streaming was buffering too much during the interview segment. In the end, Rhode Island won, who was definitely one of my favourites. She also had the hardest question of the top 5, which was about the whole transgender competing in a pageant issue. It was pretty funny because she was shocked herself, because she knew she was going to get hated no matter what answer she gave. I was surprised that she didn't jump on the bandwagon along with most other "beauties queens" (who are against it obviously). I really thought she wasn't going to win because it was such a controversal topic. In the end, she gave a really good answer and she totally deserved to with the title.
Anyways, I should get back on my readings before I fall asleep. I still have around 3 more chapters to skim through so I think I'll be able to cover all the materials before the midterm. The only question is: will I be able to retain the materials?

Not So Good Day For Driving.
Saturdays are always as long as ever. Teaching piano can be sometimes stressful, especially when your students forgets to bring their books. I went straight to work after teaching piano. I was pretty out of it while driving (a very bad idea) and had a minor car accident. Thankfully, no one was hurt and no cars were damaged (when I said minor, it was really minor. I was stopping at a red light and didn't noticed that my car was still rolling slowing. I kinda bumped the car in front of me and luckily there wasn't and scratches or dents. I kept apologizing to the people and they said that it was okay since no damage was done. Phew!
When I got to work, it wasn't as busy as yesterday. Hence, my mom let me go early. Coincidentally, Chris, Charlene, Katie, and Eliz asked me if I wanted to join them for dinner. Since I got let go early, I decided to drop by and made a quick visit. We ended up having hot pot, which was REALLY filling. I dropped Eliz back home since it was close to the shop, as I had to pick up my mom from work.
I'm back home now and there's a lot of stuff that I have to do tonight. I need to finish pages of address entries for my mom and read some more for mythology. Looks like tonight would be a long night...
